The Academy

One teacher. One child. One hour that is actually theirs.

Live Qur'an classes by video — reading, recitation and memorisation — taught one-to-one, at an hour you choose, in your timezone.

Places are limited and we place families by hand. Asking is not booking, and we will tell you plainly if we have no one free for your hours.

Who will teach your child

Every teacher is chosen by the founder personally and attached to your child by hand — there is no pool, no rota, and no stranger who appears because someone cancelled. Your child sees the same teacher each week.

  • You may ask for a woman teacher or a man teacher. Tell us in the form and we will either match it or tell you we can't — we won't quietly ignore it.
  • Lessons can be in Arabic, in English, or in both.
  • A teacher who leaves the academy loses access to your child's record the same day.

We don't publish teacher profiles on this page. When we have someone for your child, you will be told who they are before the first class.

Safety is not a promise here, it is how it is built

A guardian is in the room.
Every class has a parent or guardian present. This is not a preference we ask for — the class does not open otherwise.
Nothing is recorded.
No video, no audio, no screenshots. There is no library of your child's face anywhere, because none is ever made.
Nobody watches from outside.
The founder has no seat in a lesson. A class contains the teacher, the child and the guardian, and nobody else can enter it.
Only the teacher who teaches your child can see your child.
Access ends when the teaching does. A dismissed teacher is locked out of the record, not asked to forget it.

What happens in the hour

  1. 1

    The child reads.

Aloud, from the muṣḥaf, to a teacher who is listening to nothing else.

  2. 2

The teacher corrects, verse by verse.

Not “good, keep going” — the specific letter, the specific stretch, the specific stop.

  3. 3

Every verse gets a mark out of ten.

White for unheard, green for sealed. Red is not a failure mark; it means this verse is where the next class begins.

  4. 4

    You see it afterwards.

The grade is private while the class is still open, and lands in your dashboard when the teacher closes the sitting. You see what was heard and what it scored — the same record the teacher sees.

Between classes, your child keeps going through the stories and the recitation on I Live Islam. The academy is the hour a human listens.

Your hours, your timezone

Tell us the days and times you can manage, written in your own timezone — we do the converting, never you. We match your hours against the hours our teachers have published. If nothing overlaps, we will say so rather than pretend.

What it costs

Classes are paid separately from an I Live Islam membership — a membership does not include them, and a class does not require one. Fees are agreed with you in writing before the first class, and nothing is charged while you are only asking.

If the fee is what stands between your child and this, say so in the form. We hold places back for exactly that reason. You will not be asked for documents, and it does not change how your request is read.

Before you commit

We can often arrange one class free, so your child can meet the teacher before anything is agreed. Ask for it in the form and we will tell you honestly whether we can.

We say “often” because it depends on who is free that week. We would rather say that than promise a trial and then explain why it isn't there.

Ask for a place

Six questions and a couple of optional ones. It takes about two minutes, and a person reads every one.

You

The founder replies to this himself. Nothing automated is ever sent from here.

With country code, if you'd rather be reached that way.

Every time on this page is read in yours — we do the converting, never you.

Decisive for many families, and we would rather you say it here than have to raise it later.

When could you manage a class?

Answering honestly does not change how your request is read, and you will not be asked for documents.

We keep what you write here so one person can read it and reply. We do not send you anything automatically, and nothing on this form charges you.
