7:82

ﱁAnd notﱂwasﱃ(the) answerﱄ(of) his peopleﱅexceptﱆthatﱇthey saidﱈDrive them outﱉofﱊﱋyour townﱌIndeed, theyﱍ(are) peopleﱎwho keep themselves pureﱏ(82)

But his people’s only response was to say, “Expel them from your land! They are a people who wish to remain chaste!”

7:83

ﱐSo We saved himﱑand his familyﱒexceptﱓhis wifeﱔshe wasﱕofﱖthose who stayed behindﱗ(83)

So We saved him and his family except his wife, who was one of the doomed.

7:84

ﱘAnd We showeredﱙupon themﱚﱛa rainﱜSo seeﱝhowﱞwasﱟ(the) endﱠ(of) the criminalsﱡ(84)

We poured upon them a rain ˹of brimstone˺. See what was the end of the wicked!

7:85

ﱢAnd toﱣMadyanﱤhis brotherﱥﱦShuaibﱧHe saidﱨO my peopleﱩWorshipﱪAllahﱫnotﱬfor youﱭanyﱮgodﱯﱰother than HimﱱVerilyﱲhas came to youﱳa clear proofﱴfromﱵﱶyour LordﱷSo give fullﱸ[the] measureﱹand the weightﱺand (do) notﱻdepriveﱼ[the] peopleﱽin their thingsﱾand (do) notﱿcause corruptionﲀinﲁthe earthﲂafterﲃﲄits reformationﲅThatﲆ(is) betterﲇfor youﲈifﲉyou areﲊbelieversﲋ(85)

And to the people of Midian We sent their brother Shu’aib. He said, “O my people! Worship Allah—you have no other god except Him. A clear proof has already come to you from your Lord. So give just measure and weight, do not defraud people of their property, nor spread corruption in the land after it has been set in order. This is for your own good, if you are ˹truly˺ believers.

7:86

ﲌAnd (do) notﲍsitﲎon everyﲏpathﲐthreateningﲑand hinderingﲒfromﲓ(the) wayﲔ(of) Allahﲕ(those) whoﲖbelieveﲗin Himﲘand seeking (to make) itﲙﲚcrookedﲛAnd rememberﲜwhenﲝyou wereﲞfewﲟﲠand He increased youﲡAnd seeﲢhowﲣwasﲤ(the) endﲥ(of) the corruptersﲦ(86)

And do not lie in ambush on every road—threatening and hindering those who believe in Allah from His Path and striving to make it ˹appear˺ crooked. Remember when you were few, then He increased you in number. And consider the fate of the corruptors!

7:87

ﲧAnd ifﲨ(there) isﲩa groupﲪamong youﲫ(who has) believedﲬin that whichﲭI have been sentﲮwith [it]ﲯand a groupﲰnotﲱthey believeﲲthen be patientﲳuntilﲴjudgesﲵAllahﲶﲷbetween usﲸAnd Heﲹ(is the) Bestﲺ(of) [the] Judgesﲻ(87)

If some of you do believe in what I have been sent with while others do not, then be patient until Allah judges between us. He is the Best of Judges.”
