8:46

ﱁAnd obeyﱂAllahﱃand His Messengerﱄand (do) notﱅdisputeﱆlest you lose courageﱇand (would) departﱈﱉyour strengthﱊﱋand be patientﱌIndeedﱍAllahﱎ(is) withﱏthe patient onesﱐ(46)

Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not dispute with one another, or you would be discouraged and weakened. Persevere! Surely Allah is with those who persevere.

8:47

ﱑAnd (do) notﱒbeﱓlike those whoﱔcame forthﱕfromﱖtheir homesﱗboastfullyﱘand showing offﱙ(to) the peopleﱚand hinder (them)ﱛfromﱜ(the) wayﱝﱞ(of) AllahﱟAnd Allahﱠof whatﱡthey doﱢ(is) All-Encompassingﱣ(47)

Do not be like those ˹pagans˺ who left their homes arrogantly, only to be seen by people and to hinder others from Allah’s Path. And Allah is Fully Aware of what they do.

8:48

ﱤAnd whenﱥmade fair-seemingﱦto themﱧthe Shaitaanﱨtheir deedsﱩand he saidﱪNo (one)ﱫ(can) overcomeﱬ[to] youﱭtodayﱮfromﱯthe peopleﱰand indeed, I amﱱa neighborﱲﱳfor youﱴBut whenﱵcame in sightﱶthe two forcesﱷhe turned awayﱸonﱹhis heelsﱺand saidﱻIndeed, I amﱼfreeﱽof youﱾIndeed, Iﱿseeﲀwhatﲁnotﲂyou seeﲃindeed, Iﲄ[I] fearﲅﲆAllahﲇAnd Allahﲈ(is) severeﲉ(in) the penaltyﲊ(48)

And ˹remember˺ when Satan made their ˹evil˺ deeds appealing to them, and said, “No one can overcome you today. I am surely by your side.” But when the two forces faced off, he cowered and said, “I have absolutely nothing to do with you. I certainly see what you do not see. I truly fear Allah, for Allah is severe in punishment.”

8:49

ﲋWhenﲌsaidﲍthe hypocritesﲎand those who ﲏinﲐtheir heartsﲑ(was) a diseaseﲒ(Had) deludedﲓthese (people)ﲔﲕtheir religionﲖBut whoeverﲗputs (his) trustﲘinﲙAllahﲚthen indeedﲛAllahﲜ(is) All-MightyﲝAll-Wiseﲞ(49)

˹Remember˺ when the hypocrites and those with sickness in their hearts said, “These ˹believers˺ are deluded by their faith.” But whoever puts their trust in Allah, surely Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.

8:50

ﲟAnd ifﲠyou (could) seeﲡwhenﲢtake away soulsﲣ(of) those whoﲤdisbelieveﲥthe Angelsﲦstrikingﲧtheir facesﲨand their backsﲩTasteﲪ(the) punishmentﲫ(of) the Blazing Fireﲬ(50)

If only you could see when the angels take the souls of the disbelievers, beating their faces and backs, ˹saying,˺ “Taste the torment of burning!

8:51

ﲭThatﲮ(is) for whatﲯsent forthﲰyour handsﲱAnd indeedﲲAllahﲳ(is) notﲴunjustﲵto His slavesﲶ(51)

This is ˹the reward˺ for what your hands have done. And Allah is never unjust to ˹His˺ creation.”

8:52

ﲷLike (the) wayﲸ(of) peopleﲹ(of) Firaunﲺand those whoﲻ(were) fromﲼﲽbefore themﲾThey disbelievedﲿin (the) Signsﳀ(of) Allahﳁso seized themﳂAllahﳃﳄfor their sinsﳅIndeedﳆAllahﳇ(is) All-Strongﳈ(and) severeﳉ(in) the penaltyﳊ(52)

Their fate is that of the people of Pharaoh and those before them—they all disbelieved in Allah’s signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful, severe in punishment.
