16:43

ﱁAnd notﱂWe sentﱃbefore youﱄbefore youﱅexceptﱆmenﱇWe revealedﱈﱉto themﱊso askﱋ(the) peopleﱌ(of) the Reminderﱍifﱎyouﱏ(do) notﱐknowﱑ(43)

We did not send ˹messengers˺ before you ˹O Prophet˺ except mere men inspired by Us. If you ˹polytheists˺ do not know ˹this already˺, then ask those who have knowledge ˹of the Scriptures˺.

16:44

ﱒWith the clear proofsﱓﱔand the BooksﱕAnd We sent downﱖto youﱗthe Remembranceﱘthat you may make clearﱙto the mankindﱚwhatﱛhas been sent downﱜto themﱝand that they mayﱞreflectﱟ(44)

˹We sent them˺ with clear proofs and divine Books. And We have sent down to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Reminder, so that you may explain to people what has been revealed for them, and perhaps they will reflect.

16:45

ﱠDo then feel secureﱡthose whoﱢplottedﱣthe evil deedsﱤthatﱥAllah will caveﱦAllah will caveﱧwith themﱨthe earthﱩorﱪwill come to themﱫthe punishmentﱬfromﱭwhereﱮnotﱯthey perceiveﱰ(45)

Do those who devise evil plots feel secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them? Or that the torment will not come upon them in ways they cannot comprehend?

16:46

ﱱOrﱲthat He may seize themﱳinﱴtheir going to and froﱵthen notﱶtheyﱷwill be able to escapeﱸ(46)

Or that He will not seize them while they go about ˹their day˺, for then they will have no escape?

16:47

ﱹOrﱺthat He may seize themﱻwithﱼa gradual wastingﱽBut indeedﱾyour Lordﱿ(is) surely Full of KindnessﲀMost Mercifulﲁ(47)

Or that He will not destroy them gradually? But your Lord is truly Ever Gracious, Most Merciful.

16:48

ﲂHave notﲃthey seenﲄ[towards]ﲅwhatﲆAllah has createdﲇAllah has createdﲈfromﲉa thingﲊInclineﲋtheir shadowsﲌtoﲍthe rightﲎand to the leftﲏprostratingﲐto Allahﲑwhile theyﲒ(are) humbleﲓ(48)

Have they not considered how the shadows of everything Allah has created incline to the right and the left ˹as the sun moves˺, totally submitting to Allah in all humility?

16:49

ﲔﲕAnd to Allahﲖﲗprostrateﲘwhateverﲙ(is) inﲚthe heavensﲛand whateverﲜ(is) inﲝthe earthﲞofﲟmoving creaturesﲠand the Angelsﲡand theyﲢ(are) notﲣarrogantﲤ(49)

And to Allah ˹alone˺ bows down ˹in submission˺1 whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth of living creatures, as do the angels—who are not too proud ˹to do so˺.

16:50

ﲥThey fearﲦtheir Lordﲧabove themﲨabove themﲩand they doﲪwhatﲫﲬthey are commandedﲭ(50)

They1 fear their Lord above them, and do whatever they are commanded.

16:51

ﲮ ﲯAnd Allah has saidﲰAnd Allah has saidﲱ(Do) notﲲtakeﲳ[two] godsﲴﲵtwoﲶonlyﲷHeﲸ(is) GodﲹOneﲺso Me Aloneﲻyou fear [Me]ﲼ(51)

And Allah has said, “Do not take two gods. There is only One God. So be in awe of Me ˹alone˺.”

16:52

ﲽAnd to Him (belongs)ﲾwhateverﲿ(is) inﳀthe heavensﳁand the earthﳂand to Himﳃ(is due) the worshipﳄﳅconstantlyﳆThen is it other (than)ﳇAllahﳈyou fearﳉ(52)

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him ˹alone˺ is the everlasting devotion. Will you then fear any other than Allah?

16:53

ﳊAnd whateverﳋyou haveﳌofﳍfavorﳎ(is) fromﳏﳐAllahﳑThenﳒwhenﳓtouches youﳔthe adversityﳕthen to Himﳖyou cry for helpﳗ(53)

Whatever blessings you have are from Allah. Then whenever hardship touches you, to Him ˹alone˺ you cry ˹for help˺.

16:54

ﳘThenﳙwhenﳚHe removesﳛthe adversityﳜfrom youﳝbeholdﳞA groupﳟof youﳠwith their Lordﳡassociate othersﳢ(54)

Then as soon as He removes the hardship from you, a group of you associates ˹others˺ with their Lord ˹in worship˺,
