17:105

And with the truthWe sent it downand with the truthﱄﱅit descendedAnd notWe sent youexcept(as) a bearer of glad tidingsand a warner(105)

We have sent down the Quran in truth, and with the truth it has come down. We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a deliverer of good news and a warner.

17:106

And the QuranWe have dividedthat you might recite ittothe peopleatintervalsAnd We have revealed it(in) stages(106)

˹It is˺ a Quran We have revealed in stages so that you may recite it to people at a deliberate pace. And We have sent it down in successive revelations.

17:107

SayBelievein itor(do) notﱛﱜbelieveIndeedthose whowere giventhe knowledgebefore itbefore itwhenit is recitedto themﱦﱧthey fallﱨﱩon their facesﱪﱫ(in) prostration(107)

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Believe in this ˹Quran˺, or do not. Indeed, when it is recited to those who were gifted with knowledge1 before it ˹was revealed˺, they fall upon their faces in prostration,

17:108

And they sayGlory be toour LordIndeedis(the) promise(of) our Lordsurely fulfilled(108)

and say, ‘Glory be to our Lord! Surely the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled.’

17:109

And they fallon their facesweepingand it increases themﱺﱻ(in) humility(109)

And they fall down upon their faces weeping, and it increases them in humility.”

17:110

SayInvokeﱿAllahorinvokeﲂﲃthe Most GraciousBy whatever (name)By whatever (name)you invoketo Him (belongs)the Most Beautiful Namesﲉﲊthe Most Beautiful NamesAnd (do) notbe loudin your prayersand notbe silentthereinbut seekbetweenthata way(110)

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Compassionate—whichever you call, He has the Most Beautiful Names.” Do not recite your prayers too loudly or silently, but seek a way between.

17:111

And sayAll Praise(is) for Allahthe One Whohas not takenhas not takena sonand notisfor Hima partnerinthe dominionand notisfor Himany protectorout ofﲨﲩweaknessAnd magnify Him(with all) magnificence(111)

And say, “All praise is for Allah, Who has never had ˹any˺ offspring;1 nor does He have a partner in ˹governing˺ the kingdom;2 nor is He pathetic, needing a protector.3 And revere Him immensely.”

18. Al-KahfThe Cave

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

18:1

All Praise(is) for Allahthe One Who(has) revealedtoHis slavethe Bookand not(has) madein itﲷﲸany crookedness(1)

All praise is for Allah Who has revealed the Book to His servant,1 allowing no crookedness in it,

18:2

Straightto warn(of) a punishmentseverefromﲿnear Himand give glad tidings(to) the believersthose whodorighteous deedsthatfor them(is) a good reward(is) a good reward(2)

˹making it˺ perfectly upright, to warn ˹the disbelievers˺ of a severe torment from Him; to give good news to the believers—who do good—that they will have a fine reward,

18:3

(They will) abidein itforever(3)

in which they will remain forever;

18:4

And to warnthose whosayAllah has takenAllah has takena son(4)

and to warn those who claim, “Allah has offspring.”1
