ﱁAnd with the truthﱂWe sent it downﱃand with the truthﱄﱅit descendedﱆAnd notﱇWe sent youﱈexceptﱉ(as) a bearer of glad tidingsﱊand a warnerﱋ(105)
We have sent down the Quran in truth, and with the truth it has come down. We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a deliverer of good news and a warner.
17:106
ﱌAnd the QuranﱍWe have dividedﱎthat you might recite itﱏtoﱐthe peopleﱑatﱒintervalsﱓAnd We have revealed itﱔ(in) stagesﱕ(106)
˹It is˺ a Quran We have revealed in stages so that you may recite it to people at a deliberate pace. And We have sent it down in successive revelations.
17:107
ﱖSayﱗBelieveﱘin itﱙorﱚ(do) notﱛﱜbelieveﱝIndeedﱞthose whoﱟwere givenﱠthe knowledgeﱡbefore itﱢbefore itﱣwhenﱤit is recitedﱥto themﱦﱧthey fallﱨﱩon their facesﱪﱫ(in) prostrationﱬ(107)
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Believe in this ˹Quran˺, or do not. Indeed, when it is recited to those who were gifted with knowledge1 before it ˹was revealed˺, they fall upon their faces in prostration,
17:108
ﱭAnd they sayﱮGlory be toﱯour LordﱰIndeedﱱisﱲ(the) promiseﱳ(of) our Lordﱴsurely fulfilledﱵ(108)
and say, ‘Glory be to our Lord! Surely the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled.’
17:109
ﱶAnd they fallﱷon their facesﱸweepingﱹand it increases themﱺﱻ(in) humilityﱼ(109)
And they fall down upon their faces weeping, and it increases them in humility.”
17:110
ﱽSayﱾInvokeﱿAllahﲀorﲁinvokeﲂﲃthe Most GraciousﲄBy whatever (name)ﲅBy whatever (name)ﲆyou invokeﲇto Him (belongs)ﲈthe Most Beautiful Namesﲉﲊthe Most Beautiful NamesﲋAnd (do) notﲌbe loudﲍin your prayersﲎand notﲏbe silentﲐthereinﲑbut seekﲒbetweenﲓthatﲔa wayﲕ(110)
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Compassionate—whichever you call, He has the Most Beautiful Names.” Do not recite your prayers too loudly or silently, but seek a way between.
17:111
ﲖAnd sayﲗAll Praiseﲘ(is) for Allahﲙthe One Whoﲚhas not takenﲛhas not takenﲜa sonﲝand notﲞisﲟfor Himﲠa partnerﲡinﲢthe dominionﲣand notﲤisﲥfor Himﲦany protectorﲧout ofﲨﲩweaknessﲪAnd magnify Himﲫ(with all) magnificenceﲬ(111)
And say, “All praise is for Allah, Who has never had ˹any˺ offspring;1 nor does He have a partner in ˹governing˺ the kingdom;2 nor is He pathetic, needing a protector.3 And revere Him immensely.”
18. Al-KahfThe Cave
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful
18:1
ﲭAll Praiseﲮ(is) for Allahﲯthe One Whoﲰ(has) revealedﲱtoﲲHis slaveﲳthe Bookﲴand notﲵ(has) madeﲶin itﲷﲸany crookednessﲹ(1)
All praise is for Allah Who has revealed the Book to His servant,1 allowing no crookedness in it,
18:2
ﲺStraightﲻto warnﲼ(of) a punishmentﲽsevereﲾfromﲿnear Himﳀand give glad tidingsﳁ(to) the believersﳂthose whoﳃdoﳄrighteous deedsﳅthatﳆfor themﳇ(is) a good rewardﳈ(is) a good rewardﳉ(2)
˹making it˺ perfectly upright, to warn ˹the disbelievers˺ of a severe torment from Him; to give good news to the believers—who do good—that they will have a fine reward,
18:3
ﳊ(They will) abideﳋin itﳌforeverﳍ(3)
in which they will remain forever;
18:4
ﳎAnd to warnﳏthose whoﳐsayﳑAllah has takenﳒAllah has takenﳓa sonﳔ(4)
and to warn those who claim, “Allah has offspring.”1
