43:34

ﱁAnd for their housesﱂdoorsﱃand couchesﱄupon whichﱅthey reclineﱆ(34)

as well as ˹silver˺ gates and thrones to recline on,

43:35

ﱇﱈAnd ornaments of goldﱉAnd not (is)ﱊallﱋthatﱌbutﱍan enjoymentﱎ(of) the lifeﱏﱐ(of) the worldﱑAnd the Hereafterﱒwithﱓyour Lordﱔ(is) for the righteousﱕ(35)

and ornaments ˹of gold˺. Yet all this is no more than a ˹fleeting˺ enjoyment in this worldly life. ˹But˺ the Hereafter with your Lord is ˹only˺ for those mindful ˹of Him˺.

43:36

ﱖAnd whoeverﱗturns awayﱘfromﱙ(the) remembranceﱚ(of) the Most GraciousﱛWe appointﱜfor himﱝa devilﱞthen heﱟ(is) to himﱠa companionﱡ(36)

And whoever turns a blind eye to the Reminder of the Most Compassionate, We place at the disposal of each a devilish one as their close associate,

43:37

ﱢAnd indeed, theyﱣsurely, turn themﱤfromﱥthe Pathﱦand they thinkﱧthat theyﱨ(are) guidedﱩ(37)

who will certainly hinder them from the ˹Right˺ Way while they think they are ˹rightly˺ guided.

43:38

ﱪUntilﱫwhenﱬhe comes to Usﱭhe saysﱮO would thatﱯbetween meﱰand between youﱱ(were the) distanceﱲ(of) the East and the WestﱳHow wretched isﱴthe companionﱵ(38)

But when such a person comes to Us, one will say ˹to their associate˺, “I wish you were as distant from me as the east is from the west! What an evil associate ˹you were˺!”

43:39

ﱶAnd neverﱷwill benefit youﱸthe Dayﱹwhenﱺyou have wrongedﱻthat youﱼ(will be) inﱽthe punishmentﱾsharingﱿ(39)

˹It will be said to both,˺ “Since you all did wrong, sharing in the punishment will be of no benefit to you this Day.”1

43:40

ﲀThen can youﲁcause to hearﲂthe deafﲃorﲄguideﲅthe blindﲆand (one) whoﲇisﲈinﲉan errorﲊclearﲋ(40)

Can you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind or those clearly astray?

43:41

ﲌAnd whetherﲍWe take you awayﲎWe take you awayﲏthen indeed, Weﲐfrom themﲑ(will) take retributionﲒ(41)

Even if We take you away ˹from this world˺, We will surely inflict punishment upon them.

43:42

ﲓOrﲔWe show youﲕthat whichﲖWe have promised themﲗthen indeed, Weﲘover themﲙhave full powerﲚ(42)

Or if We show you what We threaten them with, We certainly have full power over them.

43:43

ﲛSo hold fastﲜto that whichﲝis revealedﲞﲟto youﲠIndeed, youﲡ(are) onﲢa PathﲣStraightﲤ(43)

So hold firmly to what has been revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺. You are truly on the Straight Path.

43:44

ﲥAnd indeed, itﲦ(is) surely, a Reminderﲧfor youﲨﲩand your peopleﲪand soonﲫyou will be questionedﲬ(44)

Surely this ˹Quran˺ is a glory for you and your people. And you will ˹all˺ be questioned ˹about it˺.

43:45

ﲭAnd askﲮ(those) whomﲯWe sentﲰbefore youﲱbefore youﲲofﲳOur Messengersﲴdid We makeﲵbesidesﲶbesidesﲷthe Most Graciousﲸgodsﲹto be worshippedﲺ(45)

Ask ˹the followers of˺ the messengers that We already sent before you if We ˹ever˺ appointed ˹other˺ gods to be worshipped besides the Most Compassionate.

43:46

ﲻAnd certainlyﲼWe sentﲽMusaﲾwith Our SignsﲿtoﳀFiraunﳁand his chiefsﳂand he saidﳃIndeed, I amﳄa Messengerﳅ(of the) Lordﳆ(of) the worldsﳇ(46)

Indeed, We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, and he said: “I am a messenger of the Lord of all worlds.”

43:47

ﳈBut whenﳉhe came to themﳊwith Our SignsﳋbeholdﳌTheyﳍat themﳎlaughedﳏ(47)

But as soon as he came to them with Our signs, they laughed at them,
