58:12

ﱁO you who believeﱂO you who believeﱃO you who believeﱄWhenﱅyou privately consultﱆthe Messengerﱇthen offerﱈbeforeﱉbeforeﱊyour private consultationﱋﱌcharityﱍThatﱎ(is) betterﱏfor youﱐﱑand purerﱒBut ifﱓnotﱔyou findﱕthen indeedﱖAllahﱗ(is) Oft-ForgivingﱘMost Mercifulﱙ(12)

O believers! When you consult the Messenger privately, give something in charity before your consultation. That is better and purer for you. But if you lack the means, then Allah is truly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

58:13

ﱚAre you afraidﱛtoﱜofferﱝbeforeﱞbeforeﱟyour private consultationﱠﱡcharitiesﱢThen whenﱣyou do notﱤyou do notﱥand Allah has forgivenﱦand Allah has forgivenﱧyouﱨthen establishﱩthe prayerﱪand giveﱫthe zakahﱬand obeyﱭAllahﱮﱯand His MessengerﱰAnd Allahﱱ(is) All-Awareﱲof whatﱳyou doﱴ(13)

Are you afraid of spending in charity before your private consultations ˹with him˺? Since you are unable to do so, and Allah has turned to you in mercy, then ˹continue to˺ establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

58:14

ﱵ ﱶDo notﱷyou seeﱸ[to]ﱹthose whoﱺtake as alliesﱻa peopleﱼwrathﱽ(of) Allahﱾ(is) upon themﱿThey (are) notﲀThey (are) notﲁof youﲂand notﲃof themﲄand they swearﲅtoﲆthe lieﲇwhile theyﲈknowﲉ(14)

Have you not seen those ˹hypocrites˺ who ally themselves with a people with whom Allah is displeased? They are neither with you nor with them. And they swear to lies knowingly.

58:15

ﲊAllah has preparedﲋAllah has preparedﲌfor themﲍa punishmentﲎﲏsevereﲐIndeed, [they]ﲑevil isﲒwhatﲓthey used toﲔdoﲕ(15)

Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment. Evil indeed is what they do.

58:16

ﲖThey have takenﲗtheir oathsﲘ(as) a coverﲙso they hinderﲚfromﲛ(the) way of Allahﲜ(the) way of Allahﲝso for themﲞ(is) a punishmentﲟhumiliatingﲠ(16)

They have made their ˹false˺ oaths as a shield, hindering ˹others˺ from the cause of Allah. So they will suffer a humiliating punishment.

58:17

ﲡNeverﲢwill availﲣthemﲤtheir wealthﲥand notﲦtheir childrenﲧagainstﲨAllahﲩﲪ(in) anythingﲫThoseﲬ(will be) companionsﲭﲮ(of) the Fireﲯtheyﲰin itﲱwill abide foreverﲲ(17)

Neither their wealth nor children will be of any help to them against Allah whatsoever. It is they who will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.

58:18

ﲳ(On the) DayﲴAllah will raise themﲵAllah will raise themﲶallﲷthen they will swearﲸto Himﲹasﲺthey swearﲻto youﲼAnd they thinkﲽthat theyﲾ(are) onﲿﳀsomethingﳁNo doubtﳂIndeed, theyﳃ[they]ﳄ(are) the liarsﳅ(18)

On the Day Allah resurrects them all, they will ˹falsely˺ swear to Him as they swear to you, thinking they have something to stand on. Indeed, it is they who are the ˹total˺ liars.

58:19

ﳆHas overcomeﳇthemﳈthe Shaitaanﳉso he made them forgetﳊ(the) remembranceﳋﳌ(of) AllahﳍThoseﳎ(are the) partyﳏﳐ(of) the ShaitaanﳑNo doubtﳒIndeedﳓ(the) partyﳔ(of) the Shaitaanﳕtheyﳖ(will be) the losersﳗ(19)

Satan has taken hold of them, causing them to forget the remembrance of Allah. They are the party of Satan. Surely Satan’s party is bound to lose.

58:20

ﳘIndeedﳙthose whoﳚopposeﳛAllahﳜand His Messengerﳝthoseﳞ(will be) amongﳟthe most humiliatedﳠ(20)

˹As for˺ those who defy Allah and His Messenger, they will definitely be among the most debased.

58:21

ﳡAllah has decreedﳢAllah has decreedﳣSurely, I will overcomeﳤIﳥﳦand My MessengersﳧIndeedﳨAllahﳩ(is) All-StrongﳪAll-Mightyﳫ(21)

Allah has decreed, “I and My messengers will certainly prevail.” Surely Allah is All-Powerful, Almighty.
