ﱁ(He) whoﱂobeysﱃthe Messengerﱄthen surelyﱅhe obeyedﱆﱇAllahﱈand whoeverﱉturns away ﱊthen notﱋWe (have) sent youﱌover themﱍ(as) a guardianﱎ(80)
Whoever obeys the Messenger has truly obeyed Allah. But whoever turns away, then ˹know that˺ We have not sent you ˹O Prophet˺ as a keeper over them.
4:81
ﱏAnd they sayﱐ(We pledge) obedienceﱑThen whenﱒthey leaveﱓfromﱔyouﱕplan by nightﱖa groupﱗof themﱘother thanﱙthat whichﱚﱛyou sayﱜBut Allahﱝrecordsﱞwhatﱟﱠthey plan by nightﱡSo turn (away)ﱢfrom themﱣand put (your) trustﱤinﱥﱦAllahﱧAnd sufficientﱨis Allahﱩ(as) a Trusteeﱪ(81)
And they say, “We obey,” but when they leave you, a group of them would spend the night contradicting what they said. Allah records all their schemes. So turn away from them, and put your trust in Allah. And Allah is sufficient as a Trustee of Affairs.
4:82
ﱫThen (do) notﱬthey ponderﱭﱮ(on) the QuranﱯAnd ifﱰit had (been)ﱱ(of)ﱲfromﱳother thanﱴAllahﱵsurely they (would have) foundﱶin itﱷcontradictionﱸmuchﱹ(82)
Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would have certainly found in it many inconsistencies.
4:83
ﱺAnd whenﱻcomes to themﱼa matterﱽofﱾthe securityﱿorﲀ[the] fearﲁthey spreadﲂﲃ[with] itﲄBut ifﲅthey (had) referred itﲆtoﲇthe Messengerﲈand toﲉthoseﲊ(having) authorityﲋamong themﲌsurely would have known itﲍthose whoﲎdraw correct conclusion (from) itﲏﲐamong themﲑAnd if notﲒ(had been the) bountyﲓ(of) Allahﲔon youﲕand His Mercyﲖsurely you (would have) followedﲗthe Shaitaanﲘexceptﲙa fewﲚ(83)
And when they hear news of security or fear,1 they publicize it. Had they referred it to the Messenger or their authorities, those with sound judgment among them would have validated it. Had it not been for Allah’s grace and mercy, you would have followed Satan—except for a few.
4:84
ﲛSo fightﲜinﲝ(the) wayﲞ(of) Allahﲟnotﲠare you responsibleﲡexceptﲢﲣ(for) yourselfﲤAnd encourageﲥﲦthe believersﲧperhapsﲨAllahﲩwillﲪrestrainﲫ(the) mightﲬ(of) those whoﲭﲮdisbelievedﲯAnd Allahﲰ(is) Strongerﲱ(in) Mightﲲand Strongerﲳ(in) punishmentﲴ(84)
So fight in the cause of Allah ˹O Prophet˺. You are accountable for none but yourself. And motivate the believers ˹to fight˺, so perhaps Allah will curb the disbelievers’ might. And Allah is far superior in might and in punishment.
Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a share in the reward, and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a share in the burden. And Allah is Watchful over all things.
4:86
ﳎAnd whenﳏyou are greetedﳐwith a greetingﳑthen greetﳒwith betterﳓthan itﳔorﳕﳖreturn itﳗIndeedﳘAllahﳙisﳚofﳛeveryﳜthingﳝan Accountantﳞ(86)
And when you are greeted, respond with a better greeting or at least similarly. Surely Allah is a ˹vigilant˺ Reckoner of all things.
