ﱁ ﱂHe saidﱃThen whatﱄ(is) your missionﱅO messengersﱆO messengersﱇ
˹Later,˺ Abraham asked, “What is your mission, O messenger-angels?”

ﱈThey saidﱉIndeed, weﱊ[we] have been sentﱋtoﱌa peopleﱍcriminalﱎ
They replied, “We have actually been sent to a wicked people,

ﱏThat we may send downﱐupon themﱑstonesﱒofﱓclayﱔ
to send upon them stones of ˹baked˺ clay,
- Reflections
ﱕMarkedﱖwithﱗyour Lordﱘfor the transgressorsﱙ
marked by your Lord for the transgressors.”

ﱚThen We brought outﱛ(those) whoﱜwereﱝthereinﱞofﱟthe believersﱠ
Then ˹before the torment˺ We evacuated the believers from the city.

ﱡBut notﱢWe foundﱣthereinﱤother thanﱥa houseﱦofﱧthe Muslimsﱨ
But We only found one family that had submitted ˹to Allah˺.

ﱩAnd We leftﱪthereinﱫa Signﱬfor those whoﱭfearﱮthe punishmentﱯthe painfulﱰ
And We have left a sign there ˹as a lesson˺ for those who fear the painful punishment.

ﱱAnd inﱲMusaﱳwhenﱴWe sent himﱵtoﱶFiraunﱷwith an authorityﱸclearﱹ
And in ˹the story of˺ Moses ˹was another lesson,˺ when We sent him to Pharaoh with compelling proof,

ﱺBut he turned awayﱻwith his supportersﱼand saidﱽA magicianﱾorﱿa madmanﲀ
but Pharaoh was carried away by his power, saying ˹of Moses˺, “A magician or a madman!”

ﲁSo We took himﲂand his hostsﲃand threw themﲄintoﲅthe seaﲆwhile heﲇ(was) blameworthyﲈ
So We seized him and his soldiers, casting them into the sea while he was blameworthy.

ﲉAnd inﲊAadﲋwhenﲌWe sentﲍagainst themﲎthe windﲏthe barrenﲐ
And in ˹the story of˺ ’Âd ˹was another lesson,˺ when We sent against them the devastating wind.

ﲑNotﲒit leftﲓanyﲔthingﲕit cameﲖupon itﲗbutﲘit made itﲙlike disintegrated ruinsﲚ
There was nothing it came upon that it did not reduce to ashes.

ﲛAnd inﲜThamudﲝwhenﲞwas saidﲟto themﲠEnjoy (yourselves)ﲡforﲢa timeﲣ
And in ˹the story of˺ Thamûd ˹was another lesson,˺ when they were told, “Enjoy yourselves ˹only˺ for a ˹short˺ while.”

ﲤBut they rebelledﲥagainstﲦ(the) Commandﲧ(of) their Lordﲨso seized themﲩthe thunderboltﲪwhile theyﲫwere lookingﲬ
Still they persisted in defying the commands of their Lord, so they were overtaken by a ˹mighty˺ blast while they were looking on.

ﲭThen notﲮthey were able toﲯ[of]ﲰstandﲱand notﲲthey couldﲳhelp themselvesﲴ
Then they were not able to rise up, nor were they helped.

ﲵAnd (the) peopleﲶ(of) Nuhﲷbeforeﲸﲹbeforeﲺindeed, theyﲻwereﲼa peopleﲽdefiantly disobedientﲾ
And the people of Noah ˹had also been destroyed˺ earlier. They were truly a rebellious people.

ﲿAnd the heavenﳀWe constructed itﳁwith strengthﳂand indeed, Weﳃ(are) surely (its) Expandersﳄ
We built the universe with ˹great˺ might, and We are certainly expanding ˹it˺.

ﳅAnd the earthﳆWe have spread itﳇhow excellentﳈ(are) the Spreadersﳉ
As for the earth, We spread it out. How superbly did We smooth it out!

ﳊAnd ofﳋeveryﳌthingﳍWe have createdﳎpairsﳏso that you mayﳐrememberﳑ
And We created pairs of all things so perhaps you would be mindful.

ﳒSo fleeﳓtoﳔﳕAllahﳖindeed, I amﳗto youﳘfrom Himﳙa warnerﳚclearﳛ
So ˹proclaim, O Prophet˺: “Flee to Allah! I am truly sent by Him with a clear warning to you.

ﳜAnd (do) notﳝmakeﳞwithﳟAllahﳠgodﳡﳢanotherﳣIndeed, I amﳤto youﳥfrom Himﳦa warnerﳧclearﳨ
And do not set up another god with Allah. I am truly sent by Him with a clear warning to you.”
