ﱁIndeedﱂmankindﱃto his Lordﱄ(is) surely ungratefulﱅ
Surely humankind is ungrateful to their Lord—
- Reflections
ﱆAnd indeed, heﱇonﱈthatﱉsurely (is) a witnessﱊ
and they certainly attest to this—
- Reflections
ﱋAnd indeed heﱌin (the) loveﱍ(of) wealthﱎ(is) surely intenseﱏ
and they are truly extreme in their love of ˹worldly˺ gains.
- Reflections
ﱐ ﱑBut does notﱒhe knowﱓwhenﱔwill be scatteredﱕwhatﱖ(is) inﱗthe gravesﱘ
Do they not know that when the contents of the graves will be spilled out,
- Reflections
ﱙAnd is made apparentﱚwhatﱛ(is) inﱜthe breastsﱝ
and the secrets of the hearts will be laid bare—
- Reflections
ﱞIndeedﱟtheir Lordﱠabout themﱡthat Dayﱢ(is) surely All-Awareﱣ
surely their Lord is All-Aware of them on that Day.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ﱤThe Striking Calamityﱥ
The Striking Disaster!
- Reflections
ﱦWhatﱧ(is) the Striking Calamityﱨ
What is the Striking Disaster?
- Reflections
ﱩAnd whatﱪwill make you knowﱫwhatﱬ(is) the Striking Calamityﱭ
And what will make you realize what the Striking Disaster is?
- Reflections
ﱮ(The) Dayﱯwill beﱰthe mankindﱱlike mothsﱲscatteredﱳ
˹It is˺ the Day people will be like scattered moths,
- Reflections
ﱴAnd will beﱵthe mountainsﱶlike woolﱷfluffed upﱸ
and the mountains will be like carded wool.
- Reflections
ﱹThen as forﱺ(him) whoseﱻ(are) heavyﱼhis scalesﱽ
So as for those whose scale is heavy ˹with good deeds˺,
- Reflections
ﱾThen heﱿ(will be) inﲀa lifeﲁpleasantﲂ
they will be in a life of bliss.
- Reflections
ﲃBut as forﲄ(him) whoseﲅ(are) lightﲆhis scalesﲇ
And as for those whose scale is light,
- Reflections
ﲈHis abodeﲉ(will be the) Pitﲊ
their home will be the abyss.
- Reflections
ﲋAnd whatﲌwill make you knowﲍwhatﲎit isﲏ
And what will make you realize what that is?
- Reflections
ﲐA Fireﲑintensely hotﲒ
˹It is˺ a scorching Fire.

At-Takathur
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ﲓDiverts youﲔthe competition to increaseﲕ
Competition for more ˹gains˺ diverts you ˹from Allah˺,
- Reflections
ﲖUntilﲗyou visitﲘthe gravesﲙ
until you end up in ˹your˺ graves.
- Reflections
ﲚNayﲛSoonﲜyou will knowﲝ
But no! You will soon come to know.
- Reflections
ﲞThenﲟnayﲠSoonﲡyou will knowﲢ
Again, no! You will soon come to know.
- Reflections
ﲣNayﲤIfﲥyou knowﲦ(with) a knowledgeﲧ(of) certaintyﲨ
Indeed, if you were to know ˹your fate˺ with certainty, ˹you would have acted differently˺.
- Reflections
ﲩSurely you will seeﲪthe Hellfireﲫ
˹But˺ you will surely see the Hellfire.
- Reflections
ﲬThenﲭsurely you will see itﲮ(with the) eyeﲯ(of) certaintyﲰ
Again, you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
- Reflections
ﲱThenﲲsurely you will be askedﲳthat Dayﲴaboutﲵthe pleasuresﲶ
Then, on that Day, you will definitely be questioned about ˹your worldly˺ pleasures.
