Al-'Asr
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ﱁBy the timeﱂ
By the ˹passage of˺ time!
- Reflections
ﱃIndeedﱄmankindﱅ(is) surely, inﱆlossﱇ
Surely humanity is in ˹grave˺ loss,
- Reflections
ﱈExceptﱉthose whoﱊbelieveﱋand doﱌrighteous deedsﱍand enjoin (each other)ﱎto the truthﱏand enjoin (each other)ﱐto [the] patienceﱑ
except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance.

Al-Humazah
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ﱒWoeﱓto everyﱔslandererﱕbackbiterﱖ
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer,
- Reflections
ﱗThe one whoﱘcollectsﱙwealthﱚand counts itﱛ
who amasses wealth ˹greedily˺ and counts it ˹repeatedly˺,
- Reflections
ﱜThinkingﱝthatﱞhis wealthﱟwill make him immortalﱠ
thinking that their wealth will make them immortal!
- Reflections
ﱡﱢNayﱣSurely he will be thrownﱤinﱥthe Crusherﱦ
Not at all! Such a person will certainly be tossed into the Crusher.

ﱧAnd whatﱨwill make you knowﱩwhatﱪthe Crusher (is)ﱫ
And what will make you realize what the Crusher is?
- Reflections
ﱬA FireﱭAllahﱮkindledﱯ
˹It is˺ Allah’s kindled Fire,
- Reflections
ﱰWhichﱱmounts upﱲtoﱳthe heartsﱴ
which rages over the hearts.
- Reflections
ﱵIndeed, itﱶ(will be) upon themﱷclosed overﱸ
It will be sealed over them,
- Reflections
ﱹInﱺcolumnsﱻextendedﱼ
˹tightly secured˺ with long braces.

Al-Fil
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ﱽHave notﱾyou seenﱿhowﲀdealtﲁyour Lordﲂwith (the) Companionsﲃ(of the) Elephantﲄ
Have you not seen ˹O Prophet˺ how your Lord dealt with the Army of the Elephant?
- Reflections
ﲅDid notﲆHe makeﲇtheir planﲈgoﲉastrayﲊ
Did He not frustrate their scheme?
- Reflections
ﲋAnd He sentﲌagainst themﲍbirdsﲎ(in) flocksﲏ
For He sent against them flocks of birds,
- Reflections
ﲐStriking themﲑwith stonesﲒofﲓbaked clayﲔ
that pelted them with stones of baked clay,
- Reflections
ﲕThen He made themﲖlike strawﲗeaten upﲘ
leaving them like chewed up straw.
