The Poets
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
ﱁTa Seem Meemﱂ
Ṭâ-Sĩn-Mĩm.
- Reflections
ﱃTheseﱄ(are the) Versesﱅ(of) the Bookﱆclearﱇ
These are the verses of the clear Book.

ﱈPerhaps youﱉ(would) killﱊyourselfﱋthat notﱌthey becomeﱍbelieversﱎ
Perhaps you ˹O Prophet˺ will grieve yourself to death over their disbelief.

ﱏIfﱐWe willﱑWe can send downﱒto themﱓfromﱔthe skyﱕa Signﱖso would bendﱗtheir necksﱘto itﱙ(in) humilityﱚ
If We willed, We could send down upon them a ˹compelling˺ sign from the heavens, leaving their necks bent in ˹utter˺ submission to it.

ﱛAnd (does) notﱜcome to themﱝanyﱞreminderﱟfromﱠthe Most Graciousﱡnewﱢbutﱣtheyﱤfrom itﱥturn awayﱦ
Whatever new reminder comes to them from the Most Compassionate, they always turn away from it.

ﱧSo verilyﱨthey have deniedﱩthen will come to themﱪthe newsﱫ(of) whatﱬthey usedﱭat itﱮ(to) mockﱯ
They have certainly denied ˹the truth˺, so they will soon face the consequences of their ridicule.

ﱰDo notﱱthey seeﱲatﱳthe earth ﱴhow manyﱵWe producedﱶin itﱷofﱸeveryﱹkindﱺnobleﱻ
Have they failed to look at the earth, ˹to see˺ how many types of fine plants We have caused to grow in it?

ﱼIndeedﱽinﱾthatﱿﲀsurely (is) a signﲁbut notﲂareﲃmost of themﲄbelieversﲅ
Surely in this is a sign. Yet most of them would not believe.

ﲆAnd indeedﲇyour Lordﲈsurely, Heﲉ(is) the All-Mightyﲊthe Most Mercifulﲋ
And your Lord is certainly the Almighty, Most Merciful.

ﲌAnd whenﲍyour Lord calledﲎyour Lord calledﲏMusaﲐ[that]ﲑGoﲒ(to) the peopleﲓ(who are) wrongdoersﲔ
˹Remember˺ when your Lord called out to Moses, “Go to the wrongdoing people—

ﲕ(The) peopleﲖﲗ(of) FiraunﲘWill notﲙthey fearﲚ
the people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear ˹Allah˺?”

ﲛHe saidﲜMy LordﲝIndeed, Iﲞ[I] fearﲟthatﲠthey will deny meﲡ
He replied, “My Lord! I fear that they will reject me.

ﲢAnd straitensﲣmy breastﲤand notﲥexpresses wellﲦmy tongueﲧso sendﲨforﲩHarunﲪ
And ˹so˺ my heart will be broken and my tongue will be tied. So send Aaron along ˹as a messenger˺.

ﲫAnd they haveﲬagainst meﲭa crimeﲮso I fearﲯthatﲰthey will kill meﲱ
Also, they have a charge against me, so I fear they may kill me.”

ﲲHe saidﲳﲴNayﲵgo both of youﲶﲷwith Our SignsﲸIndeed, Weﲹ(are) with youﲺlisteningﲻ
Allah responded, “Certainly not! So go, both of you, with Our signs. We will be with you, listening.

ﲼSo go both of youﲽ(to) Firaunﲾand sayﲿ'Indeed, weﳀ(are the) Messengerﳁ(of the) Lordﳂ(of) the worldsﳃ
Go to Pharaoh and say, ‘We are messengers from the Lord of all worlds,

ﳄ[That]ﳅsendﳆwith usﳇ(the) Children of Israel.'ﳈ(the) Children of Israel.'ﳉ
˹commanded to say:˺ ‘Let the Children of Israel go with us.’’”

ﳊHe saidﳋDid notﳌwe bring you upﳍamong usﳎ(as) a childﳏand you remainedﳐamong usﳑofﳒyour lifeﳓyearsﳔ
Pharaoh protested, “Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you stayed several years of your life in our care?

ﳕAnd you didﳖyour deedﳗwhichﳘyou didﳙand youﳚ(were) ofﳛthe ungratefulﳜ
Then you did what you did, being ˹utterly˺ ungrateful!”
