ﱁThen notﱂwill benefit themﱃintercessionﱄ(of) the intercessorsﱅ
So the pleas of intercessors will be of no benefit to them.

ﱆThen whatﱇ(is) for themﱈ(that) fromﱉthe Reminderﱊthey (are) turning awayﱋ
Now, what is the matter with them that they are turning away from the reminder,

ﱌAs if they (were)ﱍdonkeysﱎfrightenedﱏ
as if they were spooked zebras
- Reflections
ﱐFleeingﱑfromﱒa lionﱓ
fleeing from a lion?

ﱔNayﱕDesiresﱖeveryﱗpersonﱘof themﱙthatﱚhe may be givenﱛpagesﱜspread outﱝ
In fact, each one of them wishes to be given a ˹personal˺ letter ˹from Allah˺ for all ˹to read˺.

ﱞﱟNayﱠButﱡnotﱢthey fearﱣthe Hereafterﱤ
But no! In fact, they do not fear the Hereafter.

ﱥNayﱦIndeed, itﱧ(is) a Reminderﱨ
Enough! Surely this ˹Quran˺ is a reminder.

ﱩSo whoeverﱪwillsﱫ(may) pay heed to itﱬ
So let whoever wills be mindful of it.
- Reflections
ﱭAnd notﱮwill pay heedﱯexceptﱰthatﱱwillsﱲﱳAllahﱴHeﱵ(is) worthyﱶto be fearedﱷand worthyﱸto forgiveﱹ
But they cannot do so unless Allah wills. He ˹alone˺ is worthy to be feared and entitled to forgive.

The Resurrection
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
ﱺNayﱻI swearﱼby (the) Dayﱽ(of) the Resurrectionﱾ
I do swear by the Day of Judgment!

ﱿAnd nayﲀI swearﲁby the soulﲂself-accusingﲃ
And I do swear by the self-reproaching soul!

ﲄDoes thinkﲅ[the] manﲆthat notﲇWe will assembleﲈhis bonesﲉ
Do people think We cannot reassemble their bones?
- Reflections
ﲊNayﲋ(We are) AbleﲌonﲍthatﲎWe can restoreﲏhis fingertipsﲐ
Yes ˹indeed˺! We are ˹most˺ capable of restoring ˹even˺ their very fingertips.

ﲑNayﲒDesiresﲓ[the] manﲔto give (the) lieﲕ(to) what is before himﲖ
Still people want to deny what is yet to come,

ﲗHe asksﲘWhenﲙ(is the) Dayﲚ(of) the Resurrectionﲛ
asking ˹mockingly˺, “When is this Day of Judgment?”

ﲜSo whenﲝis dazzledﲞthe visionﲟ
But when the sight is stunned,
- Reflections
ﲠAnd becomes darkﲡthe moonﲢ
and the moon is dimmed,
- Reflections
ﲣAnd are joinedﲤthe sunﲥand the moonﲦ
and the sun and the moon are brought together,
- Reflections
ﲧWill sayﲨ[the] manﲩthat DayﲪWhereﲫ(is) the escapeﲬ
on that Day one will cry, “Where is the escape?”

ﲭBy no meansﲮ(There is) noﲯrefugeﲰ
But no! There will be no refuge.

ﲱToﲲyour Lordﲳthat Dayﲴ(is) the place of restﲵ
On that Day all will end up before your Lord.

ﲶWill be informedﲷ[the] manﲸthat Dayﲹof whatﲺhe sent forthﲻand kept backﲼ
All will then be informed of what they have sent forth and left behind.

ﲽNayﲾ[The] manﲿagainstﳀhimselfﳁ(will be) a witnessﳂ
In fact, people will testify against their own souls,
- Reflections
ﳃEven ifﳄhe presentsﳅhis excusesﳆ
despite the excuses they come up with.
- Reflections
ﳇNotﳈmoveﳉwith itﳊyour tongueﳋto hastenﳌwith itﳍ
Do not rush your tongue trying to memorize ˹a revelation of˺ the Quran.

ﳎIndeedﳏupon Usﳐ(is) its collectionﳑand its recitationﳒ
It is certainly upon Us to ˹make you˺ memorize and recite it.
- Reflections
ﳓAnd whenﳔWe have recited itﳕthen followﳖits recitationﳗ
So once We have recited a revelation ˹through Gabriel˺, follow its recitation ˹closely˺.

ﳘThenﳙindeedﳚupon Usﳛ(is) its explanationﳜ
Then it is surely upon Us to make it clear ˹to you˺.
