ﱁNoﱂButﱃyou loveﱄthe immediateﱅ
But no! In fact, you love this fleeting world,

ﱆAnd leaveﱇthe Hereafterﱈ
and neglect the Hereafter.

ﱉFacesﱊthat Dayﱋ(will be) radiantﱌ
On that Day ˹some˺ faces will be bright,
- Reflections
ﱍTowardsﱎtheir Lordﱏlookingﱐ
looking at their Lord.
- Reflections
ﱑAnd facesﱒthat Dayﱓ(will be) distortedﱔ
And ˹other˺ faces will be gloomy,
- Reflections
ﱕThinkingﱖthatﱗwill be doneﱘto themﱙbackbreakingﱚ
anticipating something devastating to befall them.

ﱛNoﱜWhenﱝit reachesﱞthe collar bonesﱟ
But no! ˹Beware of the day˺ when the soul reaches the collar bone ˹as it leaves˺,

ﱠAnd it is saidﱡﱢWhoﱣ(will) cureﱤ
and it will be said, “Is there any healer ˹who can save this life˺?”

ﱥAnd he is certainﱦthat itﱧ(is) the partingﱨ
And the dying person realizes it is ˹their˺ time to depart,
- Reflections
ﱩAnd is woundﱪthe legﱫabout the legﱬ
and ˹then˺ their feet are tied together ˹in a shroud˺.

ﱭToﱮyour Lordﱯthat Dayﱰ(will be) the drivingﱱ
On that day they will be driven to your Lord ˹alone˺.

ﱲAnd notﱳhe accepted (the) truthﱴand notﱵhe prayedﱶ
This denier neither believed nor prayed,
- Reflections
ﱷButﱸhe deniedﱹand turned awayﱺ
but persisted in denial and turned away,
- Reflections
ﱻThenﱼhe wentﱽtoﱾhis familyﱿswaggeringﲀ
then went to their own people, walking boastfully.

ﲁWoeﲂto youﲃand woeﲄ
Woe to you, and more woe!
- Reflections
ﲅThenﲆwoeﲇto youﲈand woeﲉ
Again, woe to you, and even more woe!
- Reflections
ﲊDoes thinkﲋmanﲌthatﲍhe will be leftﲎneglectedﲏ
Do people think they will be left without purpose?

ﲐWas notﲑheﲒa semen-dropﲓofﲔsemenﲕemittedﲖ
Were they not ˹once˺ a sperm-drop emitted?
- Reflections
ﲗThenﲘhe wasﲙa clinging substanceﲚthen He createdﲛand proportionedﲜ
Then they became a clinging clot, then He developed and perfected their form,
- Reflections
ﲝThen madeﲞof himﲟtwo kindsﲠ(the) maleﲡand the femaleﲢ
producing from it both sexes, male and female.

ﲣIs notﲤ[that]ﲥ(He) Ableﲦ[over]ﲧtoﲨgive lifeﲩ(to) the deadﲪ
Is such ˹a Creator˺ unable to bring the dead back to life?

The Man
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
ﲫHasﲬ(there) comeﲭuponﲮmanﲯa periodﲰofﲱtimeﲲnotﲳhe wasﲴa thingﲵmentionedﲶ
Is there not a period of time when each human is nothing yet worth mentioning?

ﲷIndeed, Weﲸ[We] createdﲹmanﲺfromﲻa semen-dropﲼa mixtureﲽ(that) We test himﲾso We made (for) himﲿhearingﳀand sightﳁ
˹For˺ indeed, We ˹alone˺ created humans from a drop of mixed fluids, ˹in order˺ to test them, so We made them hear and see.

ﳂIndeed, Weﳃguided himﳄ(to) the wayﳅwhetherﳆ(he) be gratefulﳇand whetherﳈ(he) be ungratefulﳉ
We already showed them the Way, whether they ˹choose to˺ be grateful or ungrateful.

ﳊIndeed, Weﳋ[We] have preparedﳌfor the disbelieversﳍchainsﳎand shacklesﳏand a Blazing Fireﳐ
Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains, shackles, and a blazing Fire.

ﳑIndeedﳒthe righteousﳓwill drinkﳔfromﳕa cupﳖisﳗits mixtureﳘ(of) Kafurﳙ
Indeed, the virtuous will have a drink ˹of pure wine˺—flavoured with camphor—
