The Tidings
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
ﱁAbout whatﱂare they asking one anotherﱃ
What are they asking one another about?
- Reflections
ﱄAboutﱅthe Newsﱆthe Greatﱇ
About the momentous news,
- Reflections
ﱈ(About) whichﱉtheyﱊ(are) concerning itﱋ(in) disagreementﱌ
over which they disagree.
- Reflections
ﱍNayﱎ(soon) they will knowﱏ
But no! They will come to know.
- Reflections
ﱐThenﱑNayﱒ(soon) they will knowﱓ
Again, no! They will come to know.
- Reflections
ﱔHave notﱕWe madeﱖthe earthﱗa resting placeﱘ
Have We not smoothed out the earth ˹like a bed˺,
- Reflections
ﱙAnd the mountainsﱚ(as) pegsﱛ
and ˹made˺ the mountains as ˹its˺ pegs,
- Reflections
ﱜAnd We created youﱝ(in) pairsﱞ
and created you in pairs,
- Reflections
ﱟAnd We madeﱠyour sleepﱡ(for) restﱢ
and made your sleep for rest,
- Reflections
ﱣAnd We madeﱤthe nightﱥ(as) coveringﱦ
and made the night as a cover,
- Reflections
ﱧAnd We madeﱨthe dayﱩ(for) livelihoodﱪ
and made the day for livelihood,
- Reflections
ﱫAnd We constructedﱬover youﱭsevenﱮstrongﱯ
and built above you seven mighty ˹heavens˺,
- Reflections
ﱰAnd We placedﱱa lampﱲburningﱳ
and placed ˹in them˺ a shining lamp,
- Reflections
ﱴAnd We sent downﱵfromﱶthe rain cloudsﱷwaterﱸpouring abundantlyﱹ
and sent down from rainclouds pouring water,
- Reflections
ﱺThat We may bring forthﱻtherebyﱼgrainﱽand vegetationﱾ
producing by it grain and ˹various˺ plants,
- Reflections
ﱿAnd gardensﲀ(of) thick foliageﲁ
and dense orchards?
- Reflections
ﲂIndeedﲃ(the) Dayﲄ(of) the Judgmentﲅisﲆan appointed timeﲇ
Indeed, the Day of ˹Final˺ Decision is an appointed time—
- Reflections
ﲈ(The) Dayﲉ(in which) shall be blownﲊinﲋthe trumpetﲌand you will come forthﲍ(in) crowdsﲎ
˹it is˺ the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will ˹all˺ come forth in crowds.

ﲏAnd is openedﲐthe heavenﲑand becomesﲒgatewaysﲓ
The sky will be ˹split˺ open, becoming ˹many˺ gates,
- Reflections
ﲔAnd are movedﲕthe mountainsﲖand becomeﲗa mirageﲘ
and the mountains will be blown away, becoming ˹like˺ a mirage.
- Reflections
ﲙIndeedﲚHellﲛisﲜlying in waitﲝ
Indeed, Hell is lying in ambush
- Reflections
ﲞFor the transgressorsﲟa place of returnﲠ
as a home for the transgressors,
- Reflections
ﲡ(They will) be remainingﲢthereinﲣ(for) agesﲤ
where they will remain for ˹endless˺ ages.
- Reflections
ﲥNotﲦthey will tasteﲧthereinﲨcoolnessﲩand notﲪany drinkﲫ
There they will not taste any coolness or drink,
- Reflections
ﲬExceptﲭscalding waterﲮand purulenceﲯ
except boiling water and ˹oozing˺ pus—
- Reflections
ﲰA recompenseﲱappropriateﲲ
a fitting reward.
- Reflections
ﲳIndeed, theyﲴwereﲵnotﲶexpectingﲷan accountﲸ
For they never expected any reckoning,
- Reflections
ﲹAnd they deniedﲺOur Signsﲻ(with) denialﲼ
and totally rejected Our signs.
- Reflections
ﲽAnd everyﲾthingﲿWe have enumerated itﳀ(in) a Bookﳁ
And We have everything recorded precisely.
- Reflections
ﳂSo tasteﳃand neverﳄWe will increase youﳅexceptﳆ(in) punishmentﳇ
˹So the deniers will be told,˺ “Taste ˹the punishment˺, for all you will get from Us is more torment.”
