ﱁWill cover themﱂdarknessﱃ
cast in gloom—

ﱄThoseﱅ[they]ﱆ(are) the disbelieversﱇthe wicked onesﱈ
those are the disbelievers, the ˹wicked˺ sinners.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ﱉWhenﱊthe sunﱋis wrapped upﱌ
When the sun is put out,
- Reflections
ﱍAnd whenﱎthe starsﱏfall, losing their lusterﱐ
and when the stars fall down,
- Reflections
ﱑAnd whenﱒthe mountainsﱓare moved awayﱔ
and when the mountains are blown away,
- Reflections
ﱕAnd whenﱖthe full-term she-camelsﱗ(are) left untendedﱘ
and when pregnant camels are left untended,
- Reflections
ﱙAnd whenﱚthe wild beastsﱛare gatheredﱜ
and when wild beasts are gathered together,
- Reflections
ﱝAnd whenﱞthe seasﱟare made to overflowﱠ
and when the seas are set on fire,
- Reflections
ﱡAnd whenﱢthe soulsﱣare pairedﱤ
and when the souls ˹and their bodies˺ are paired ˹once more˺,
- Reflections
ﱥAnd whenﱦthe female infant buried aliveﱧis askedﱨ
and when baby girls, buried alive, are asked
- Reflections
ﱩFor whatﱪsinﱫshe was killedﱬ
for what crime they were put to death,
- Reflections
ﱭAnd whenﱮthe pagesﱯare laid openﱰ
and when the records ˹of deeds˺ are laid open,
- Reflections
ﱱAnd whenﱲthe skyﱳis stripped awayﱴ
and when the sky is stripped away,
- Reflections
ﱵAnd whenﱶthe Hellfireﱷis set ablazeﱸ
and when the Hellfire is fiercely flared up,
- Reflections
ﱹAnd whenﱺParadiseﱻis brought nearﱼ
and when Paradise is brought near—
- Reflections
ﱽWill knowﱾa soulﱿwhatﲀit has broughtﲁ
˹on that Day˺ each soul will know what ˹deeds˺ it has brought along.

ﲂBut nayﲃI swearﲄby the retreating planetsﲅ
I do swear by the receding stars
- Reflections
ﲆThose that runﲇ(and) disappearﲈ
which travel and hide,
- Reflections
ﲉAnd the nightﲊwhenﲋit departsﲌ
and the night as it falls
- Reflections
ﲍAnd the dawnﲎwhenﲏit breathesﲐ
and the day as it breaks!
- Reflections
ﲑIndeed, itﲒ(is) surely a wordﲓ(of) a Messengerﲔnobleﲕ
Indeed, this ˹Quran˺ is the Word of ˹Allah delivered by Gabriel,˺ a noble messenger-angel,

ﲖPossessor ofﲗpowerﲘwithﲙ(the) Owner ofﲚthe Throneﲛsecureﲜ
full of power, held in honour by the Lord of the Throne,
- Reflections
ﲝOne to be obeyedﲞandﲟtrustworthyﲠ
obeyed there ˹in heaven˺, and trustworthy.

ﲡAnd notﲢ(is) your companionﲣmadﲤ
And your fellow man is not insane.
- Reflections
ﲥAnd certainlyﲦhe saw himﲧin the horizonﲨthe clearﲩ
And he did see that ˹angel˺ on the clear horizon,
- Reflections
ﲪAnd notﲫhe (is)ﲬonﲭthe unseenﲮa withholderﲯ
and he does not withhold ˹what is revealed to him of˺ the unseen.

ﲰAnd notﲱitﲲ(is the) wordﲳ(of) Shaitaanﲴaccursedﲵ
And this ˹Quran˺ is not the word of an outcast devil.

ﲶSo whereﲷare you goingﲸ
So what ˹other˺ path would you take?
- Reflections
ﲹNotﲺitﲻ(is) exceptﲼa reminderﲽto the worldsﲾ
Surely this ˹Quran˺ is only a reminder to the whole world—

ﲿFor whoeverﳀwillsﳁamong youﳂtoﳃtake a straight wayﳄ
to whoever of you wills to take the Straight Way.
- Reflections
ﳅAnd notﳆyou willﳇexceptﳈthatﳉwillsﳊAllahﳋLordﳌ(of) the worldsﳍ
But you cannot will ˹to do so˺, except by the Will of Allah, the Lord of all worlds.
