The Cleaving
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
ﱁWhenﱂthe skyﱃ(is) cleft asunderﱄ
When the sky splits open,
- Reflections
ﱅAnd whenﱆthe starsﱇscatterﱈ
and when the stars fall away,
- Reflections
ﱉAnd whenﱊthe seasﱋare made to gush forthﱌ
and when the seas burst forth,
- Reflections
ﱍAnd whenﱎthe gravesﱏare overturnedﱐ
and when the graves spill out,
- Reflections
ﱑWill knowﱒa soulﱓwhatﱔit has sent forthﱕand left behindﱖ
˹then˺ each soul will know what it has sent forth or left behind.
- Reflections
ﱗOﱘmanﱙWhatﱚhas deceived youﱛconcerning your Lordﱜthe Most Nobleﱝ
O humanity! What has emboldened you against your Lord, the Most Generous,
- Reflections
ﱞWhoﱟcreated youﱠthen fashioned youﱡthen balanced youﱢ
Who created you, fashioned you, and perfected your design,
- Reflections
ﱣInﱤwhateverﱥformﱦwhatﱧHe willedﱨHe assembled youﱩ
moulding you in whatever form He willed?
- Reflections
ﱪNayﱫButﱬyou denyﱭthe Judgmentﱮ
But no! In fact, you deny the ˹final˺ Judgment,
- Reflections
ﱯAnd indeedﱰover youﱱ(are) surely guardiansﱲ
while you are certainly observed by vigilant,
- Reflections
ﱳNobleﱴrecordingﱵ
honourable angels, recording ˹everything˺.
- Reflections
ﱶThey knowﱷwhateverﱸyou doﱹ
They know whatever you do.
- Reflections
ﱺIndeedﱻthe righteousﱼ(will be) surely inﱽblissﱾ
Indeed, the virtuous will be in bliss,
- Reflections
ﱿAnd indeedﲀthe wickedﲁ(will be) surely inﲂHellfireﲃ
and the wicked will be in Hell,
- Reflections
ﲄThey will burn (in) itﲅ(on the) Dayﲆ(of) the Judgmentﲇ
burning in it on Judgment Day,
- Reflections
ﲈAnd notﲉtheyﲊfrom itﲋ(will be) absentﲌ
and they will have no escape from it.
- Reflections
ﲍAnd whatﲎcan make you knowﲏwhatﲐ(is the) Dayﲑ(of) the Judgmentﲒ
What will make you realize what Judgment Day is?
- Reflections
ﲓThenﲔwhatﲕcan make you knowﲖwhatﲗ(is the) Dayﲘ(of) the Judgmentﲙ
Again, what will make you realize what Judgment Day is?
- Reflections
ﲚ(The) Dayﲛnotﲜwill have powerﲝa soulﲞfor a soulﲟﲠanythingﲡand the Commandﲢthat Dayﲣ(will be) with Allahﲤ
˹It is˺ the Day no soul will be of ˹any˺ benefit to another whatsoever, for all authority on that Day belongs to Allah ˹entirely˺.

Al-Mutaffifin
The Defrauding
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
ﲥWoeﲦto those who give lessﲧ
Woe to the defrauders!
- Reflections
ﲨThose whoﲩwhenﲪthey take a measureﲫfromﲬthe peopleﲭthey take in fullﲮ
Those who take full measure ˹when they buy˺ from people,
- Reflections
ﲯBut whenﲰthey give by measure (to) themﲱorﲲthey weigh (for) themﲳthey give lessﲴ
but give less when they measure or weigh for buyers.
- Reflections
ﲵDo notﲶthinkﲷthoseﲸthat theyﲹ(will be) resurrectedﲺ
Do such people not think that they will be resurrected
