5:96

Is made lawfulfor yougame(of) the seaand its food(as) provisionfor youﱈﱉand for the travelersand is made unlawfulon yougame(of) the landaslong as youﱐﱑ(are in) IhramAnd be conscious(of) Allahthe Oneto Himyou will be gathered(96)

It is lawful for you to hunt and eat seafood, as a provision for you and for travellers. But hunting on land is forbidden to you while on pilgrimage. Be mindful of Allah to Whom you all will be gathered.

5:97

ﱘ ﱙHas (been) made(by) Allahthe Kabahthe Housethe Sacredan establishmentfor mankindand the month(s)[the] sacredand the (animals) for offeringﱣﱤand the garlandsThat (is)so that you may knowthatAllahknowswhat(is) inthe heavensand what(is) inthe earthand thatAllahof everything(is) All-Knowing(97)

Allah has made the Ka’bah—the Sacred House—a sanctuary of well-being for all people, along with the sacred months, the sacrificial animals, and the ˹offerings decorated with˺ garlands. All this so you may know that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and that He has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of everything.

5:98

KnowthatAllah(is) severe(in) punishmentand thatAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Mercifulﱿ(98)

Know that Allah is severe in punishment and that He is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

5:99

Notonthe Messengerexceptﲄﲅthe conveyanceAnd Allahknowswhatyou revealand whatyou conceal(99)

The Messenger’s duty is only to deliver ˹the message˺. And Allah ˹fully˺ knows what you reveal and what you conceal.

5:100

SayNot(are) equalthe eviland the goodeven ifimpresses youabundanceﲕﲖ(of) the evilSo fearAllahO men(of) understandingso that you may(be) successful(100)

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Good and evil are not equal, though you may be dazzled by the abundance of evil. So be mindful of Allah, O  people of reason, so you may be successful.”

5:101

O youwhobelieve(Do) notaskaboutthingsifmade clearto youit may distress youand ifyou askabout itwhenis being revealedthe Quranit would be made clearto youhas (been) pardoned(by) Allahﲳﲴ[about] itand Allah(is) Oft-ForgivingAll-Forbearing(101)

O believers! Do not ask about any matter which, if made clear to you, may disturb you. But if you inquire about what is being revealed in the Quran, it will be made clear to you. Allah has forgiven what was done ˹in the past˺.1 And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

5:102

Indeedasked thema peoplefrombefore youthenﲿthey becametherebydisbelievers(102)

Some people before you asked such questions then denied their answers.

5:103

Nothas (been) made(by) Allahofa Bahirahand nota Saibahand nota Wasilahand nota Hami[And] butthose whodisbelievedthey inventagainstAllahﳔﳕthe lieand most of them(do) notuse reason(103)

Allah has never ordained the ˹so-called˺ baḥîrah, sâ'ibah, waṣîlah, and ḥâm camels.1 But the disbelievers2 just fabricate lies about Allah, and most of them lack understanding.
