6:28

ﱁNayﱂbecame manifestﱃfor themﱄwhatﱅthey used toﱆconcealﱇfromﱈﱉbeforeﱊAnd ifﱋthey were sent backﱌcertainly they (would) returnﱍto whatﱎthey were forbiddenﱏfrom itﱐand indeed theyﱑcertainly are liarsﱒ(28)

But no! ˹They only say this˺ because the truth they used to hide will become all too clear to them. Even if they were to be sent back, they would certainly revert to what they were forbidden. Indeed they are liars!

6:29

ﱓAnd they saidﱔNotﱕit (is)ﱖexceptﱗour lifeﱘ(of) the worldﱙand notﱚweﱛ(will be) resurrectedﱜ(29)

They insisted, “There is nothing beyond this worldly life and we will never be resurrected.”

6:30

ﱝAnd ifﱞyou (could) seeﱟwhenﱠthey will be made to standﱡbeforeﱢﱣtheir LordﱤHe (will) sayﱥIs notﱦthisﱧﱨthe truthﱩThey will sayﱪYesﱫﱬby our LordﱭHe (will) sayﱮSo tasteﱯthe punishmentﱰbecauseﱱyou used toﱲdisbelieveﱳ(30)

But if only you could see when they will be detained before their Lord! He will ask ˹them˺, “Is this ˹Hereafter˺ not the truth?” They will cry, “Absolutely, by our Lord!” He will say, “Then taste the punishment for your disbelief.”

6:31

ﱴIndeedﱵincurred lossﱶthose whoﱷdeniedﱸin (the) meetingﱹﱺ(with) Allahﱻuntilﱼwhenﱽcame to themﱾthe Hourﱿsuddenlyﲀthey saidﲁOh! Our regretﲂoverﲃwhatﲄwe neglectedﲅconcerning itﲆwhile theyﲇwill bearﲈtheir burdensﲉonﲊﲋtheir backsﲌUnquestionablyﲍEvilﲎ(is) whatﲏthey bearﲐ(31)

Losers indeed are those who deny the meeting with Allah until the Hour takes them by surprise, then they will cry, “Woe to us for having ignored this!” They will bear ˹the burden of˺ their sins on their backs. Evil indeed is their burden!

6:32

ﲑAnd notﲒ(is) the lifeﲓ(of) the worldﲔexceptﲕa playﲖﲗand amusementﲘbut the homeﲙ(of) the Hereafterﲚ(is) bestﲛfor those whoﲜﲝ(are) God consciousﲞThen notﲟ(will) you reasonﲠ(32)

This worldly life is no more than play and amusement, but far better is the ˹eternal˺ Home of the Hereafter for those mindful ˹of Allah˺. Will you not then understand?

6:33

ﲡIndeedﲢWe knowﲣthat itﲤgrieves youﲥwhatﲦﲧthey sayﲨAnd indeed, theyﲩ(do) notﲪdeny youﲫbutﲬthe wrongdoers ﲭthe Versesﲮ(of) Allahﲯthey rejectﲰ(33)

We certainly know that what they say grieves you ˹O Prophet˺. It is not your honesty they question—it is Allah’s signs that the wrongdoers deny.

6:34

ﲱAnd surelyﲲwere rejectedﲳMessengersﲴfromﲵbefore youﲶbut they were patientﲷoverﲸwhatﲹthey were rejectedﲺand they were harmedﲻuntilﲼcame to themﲽﲾOur helpﲿAnd noﳀone (can) alterﳁ(the) wordsﳂﳃ(of) Allahﳄand surelyﳅhas come to youﳆofﳇ(the) newsﳈ(of) the Messengersﳉ(34)

Indeed, messengers before you were rejected but patiently endured rejection and persecution until Our help came to them. And Allah’s promise ˹to help˺ is never broken. And you have already received some of the narratives of these messengers.

6:35

ﳊAnd ifﳋisﳌdifficultﳍfor youﳎtheir aversionﳏthen ifﳐyou are ableﳑtoﳒseekﳓa tunnelﳔinﳕthe earthﳖorﳗa ladderﳘintoﳙthe skyﳚso that you bring to themﳛﳜa SignﳝBut ifﳞ(had) willedﳟAllahﳠsurely He (would) have gathered themﳡonﳢﳣthe guidanceﳤSo (do) notﳥbeﳦofﳧthe ignorantﳨ(35)

If you find their denial unbearable, then build—if you can—a tunnel through the earth or stairs to the sky to bring them a ˹more compelling˺ sign. Had Allah so willed, He could have guided them all. So do not be one of those ignorant ˹of this fact˺.
