2:106

ﱁ ﱂWhatWe abrogate(of)a signor[We] cause it to be forgottenWe bringbetterthan itorﱌﱍsimilar (to) itDo notyou knowthatAllahovereverything(is) All-Powerful(106)

If We ever abrogate1 a verse or cause it to be forgotten, We replace it with a better or similar one. Do you not know that Allah is Most Capable of everything?

2:107

Do notyou knowthatAllahfor Him(is the) Kingdom(of) the heavensﱞﱟand the earthAnd not(is) for youfrombesidesAllahanyprotectorand notany helper(107)

Do you not know that the kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs ˹only˺ to Allah, and you have no guardian or helper besides Allah?

2:108

Or(do) you wishthatyou askyour Messengeraswas askedMusafromﱳﱴbeforeAnd whoeverexchanges[the] disbeliefwith [the] faithso certainlyhe went astray (from)(the) evenness(of) the way(108)

Or do you ˹believers˺ intend to ask of your Messenger as Moses was asked before?1 But whoever trades belief for disbelief has truly strayed from the Right Way.

2:109

Wish[ed]ﱿmanyfrom(the) People(of) the Bookifthey could turn you backfromafteryour (having) faith(to) disbelievers(out of) jealousyfrom(of)themselves(even) fromafter[what]became clearto themﲒﲓthe truthSo forgiveand overlookuntilbringsAllahﲙﲚHis CommandIndeedAllahoneverything(is) All-Powerful(109)

Many among the People of the Book wish they could turn you ˹believers˺ back to disbelief because of their envy, after the truth has been made clear to them. Pardon and bear with them until Allah delivers His decision. Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything.

2:110

And establishthe prayerand giveﲥﲦ[the] zakahAnd whateveryou send forthfor yourselvesofgood (deeds)you will find itwithﲮﲯAllahIndeedAllahof whatyou do(is) All-Seer(110)

Establish prayer, and pay alms-tax. Whatever good you send forth for yourselves, you will ˹certainly˺ find ˹its reward˺ with Allah. Surely Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.

2:111

And they saidNeverwill enterthe Paradiseexceptwhois(a) Jew[s]orﲿﳀ(a) Christian[s]Thatﳂﳃ(is) their wishful thinkingSayBringyour proofifyou are[those who are] truthful(111)

The Jews and Christians each claim that none will enter Paradise except those of their own faith. These are their desires. Reply, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Show ˹me˺ your proof if what you say is true.”

2:112

ﳋﳌYeswhoeversubmitshis faceto Allahand he(is) a good-doerso for him(is) his rewardwithhis LordAnd nofear(will be) on themand notthey(will) grieve(112)

But no! Whoever submits themselves to Allah and does good will have their reward with their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
