9:94

They will make excusesto youwhenyou (have) returnedﱅﱆto themSay(Do) notmake excuseneverwe will believeyouVerilyAllah (has) informed usAllah (has) informed usofﱑﱒyour newsand Allah will seeand Allah will seeyour deedsand His MessengerThenyou will be brought backto(the) Knower(of) the unseenand the seenthen He will inform youof whatyou used (to)do(94)

They will make excuses to you ˹believers˺ when you return to them. Say, “Make no excuses, ˹for˺ we will not believe you. Allah has already informed us about your ˹true˺ state ˹of faith˺. Your ˹future˺ deeds will be observed by Allah and His Messenger as well. And you will be returned to the Knower of the seen and unseen, then He will inform you of what you used to do.”

9:95

They will swearby Allahto youwhenyou returnedto themthat you may turn awayﱩﱪfrom themSo turn awayﱬﱭfrom themindeed, theyﱯﱰ(are) impureand their abode(is) Hella recompensefor whatthey used (to)earn(95)

When you return, they will swear to you by Allah so that you may leave them alone. So leave them alone—they are truly evil. Hell will be their home as a reward for what they have committed.

9:96

They swearto youthat you may be pleasedﱻﱼwith themBut ifyou are pleasedﱿwith themthen indeedAllah(is) not pleased(is) not pleasedwiththe people(who are) defiantly disobedient(96)

They will swear to you in order to please you. And even if you are pleased with them, Allah will never be pleased with the rebellious people.

9:97

The bedouins(are) stronger(in) disbeliefand hypocrisyand more likelythat notthey know(the) limits(of) whatAllah (has) revealedAllah (has) revealedtoﲔﲕHis MessengerAnd Allah(is) All-KnowerAll-Wise(97)

The nomadic Arabs ˹around Medina˺ are far worse in disbelief and hypocrisy, and less likely to know the laws revealed by Allah to His Messenger. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

9:98

And amongthe bedouins(is he) whotakeswhathe spends(as) a lossand he awaitsfor youﲣﲤthe turns (of misfortune)Upon them(will be) the turnﲧﲨ(of) the evilAnd Allah(is) All-HearerAll-Knower(98)

And among the nomads are those who consider what they donate to be a loss and await your misfortune. May ill-fortune befall them! And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

9:99

But amongthe bedouins(is he) whobelievesin Allahand the Daythe Lastand takeswhathe spends(as) means of nearnesswithAllahand blessingsﲻﲼ(of) the MessengerBeholdIndeed, itﲿ(is) a means of nearnessﳀﳁfor themAllah will admit themAllah will admit themtoﳅﳆHis MercyIndeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful(99)

However, among the nomadic Arabs are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and consider what they donate as a means of coming closer to Allah and ˹receiving˺ the prayers of the Messenger. It will certainly bring them closer. Allah will admit them into His mercy. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
