10:7

Indeedthose who(do) notexpectthe meeting with Usand are pleasedwith the life(of) the worldand feel satisfiedwith itand those they(are) ofOur Signsheedless(7)

Indeed, those who do not expect to meet Us, being pleased and content with this worldly life, and who are heedless of Our signs,

10:8

Those their abode(will be) the Firefor whatthey used (to)earn(8)

they will have the Fire as a home because of what they have committed.

10:9

Indeedthose whobelievedand didgood deeds(will) guide themtheir Lordﱟﱠby their faithWill flowfromunderneath themthe riversinGardens(of) Delight(9)

Surely those who believe and do good, their Lord will guide them ˹to Paradise˺ through their faith, rivers will flow under their feet in the Gardens of Bliss,

10:10

Their prayertherein(will be), "Glory be to YouO AllahAnd their greetingtherein (will be)ﱯﱰPeaceAnd the last(of) their call(will be) [that]All the Praise beto AllahLord(of) the worlds(10)

in which their prayer will be, “Glory be to You, O  Allah!” and their greeting will be, “Peace!” and their closing prayer will be, “All praise is for Allah—Lord of all worlds!”

10:11

ﱹ ﱺAnd ifhastens(by) Allahfor the mankindthe evilﱿ(as) He hastens for themthe goodsurely, would have been decreedfor themﲃﲄtheir termBut We leavethose who(do) notexpectthe meeting with Usintheir transgressionwandering blindly(11)

If Allah were to hasten evil for people1 as they wish to hasten good, they would have certainly been doomed. But We leave those who do not expect to meet Us to wander blindly in their defiance.

10:12

And whentouchesthe manthe afflictionhe calls Us(lying) on his sideorsittingorstandingBut whenWe removefrom himhis afflictionhe passes onas if he(had) notcalled Usfor(the) afflictionﲢﲣ(that) touched himThus(it) is made fair seemingto the extravagantwhatthey used (to)do(12)

Whenever someone is touched by hardship, they cry out to Us, whether lying on their side, sitting, or standing. But when We relieve their hardship, they return to their old ways as if they had never cried to Us to remove any hardship! This is how the misdeeds of the transgressors have been made appealing to them.

10:13

And verilyWe destroyedthe generationsbefore youbefore youwhenthey wrongedand came to themtheir Messengerswith clear proofsbut notthey wereﲷﲸto believeThusWe recompensethe people(who are) criminals(13)

We surely destroyed ˹other˺ peoples before you when they did wrong, and their messengers came to them with clear proofs but they would not believe! This is how We reward the wicked people.

10:14

ThenﲿWe made yousuccessorsinthe earthafter themafter themso that We may seehowyou do(14)

Then We made you their successors in the land to see how you would act.
