10:43

ﱁAnd among themﱂ(are some) whoﱃlookﱄﱅat youﱆBut (can) youﱇguideﱈthe blindﱉeven thoughﱊthey [were]ﱋ(do) notﱌseeﱍ(43)

And some of them look at you, but can you guide the blind even though they cannot see?1

10:44

ﱎIndeedﱏAllahﱐ(does) notﱑwrongﱒthe peopleﱓ(in) anythingﱔbutﱕthe peopleﱖwrong themselvesﱗwrong themselvesﱘ(44)

Indeed, Allah does not wrong people in the least, but it is people who wrong themselves.

10:45

ﱙAnd the DayﱚHe will gather themﱛas ifﱜthey had not remainedﱝthey had not remainedﱞexceptﱟan hourﱠofﱡthe dayﱢthey will recognize each otherﱣﱤbetween themﱥCertainlyﱦ(will have) lostﱧthose whoﱨdeniedﱩthe meetingﱪ(with) Allahﱫand notﱬthey wereﱭthe guided onesﱮ(45)

On the Day He will gather them, it will be as if they had not stayed ˹in the world˺ except for an hour of a day,1 ˹as though they were only˺ getting to know one another. Lost indeed will be those who denied the meeting with Allah, and were not ˹rightly˺ guided!

10:46

ﱯAnd whetherﱰWe show youﱱsomeﱲ(of) that whichﱳWe promised themﱴorﱵWe cause you to dieﱶthen to Usﱷ(is) their returnﱸthenﱹAllahﱺ(is) a Witnessﱻoverﱼwhatﱽthey doﱾ(46)

Whether We show you ˹O Prophet˺ some of what We threaten them with, or cause you to die ˹before that˺, to Us is their return and Allah is a Witness over what they do.

10:47

ﱿAnd for everyﲀnationﲁﲂ(is) a MessengerﲃSo whenﲄcomesﲅtheir Messengerﲆit will be judgedﲇbetween themﲈin justiceﲉand theyﲊ(will) notﲋbe wrongedﲌ(47)

And for every community there is a messenger. After their messenger has come,1 judgment is passed on them in all fairness, and they are not wronged.

10:48

ﲍAnd they sayﲎWhenﲏ(will) thisﲐthe promise (be fulfilled)ﲑifﲒyou areﲓtruthfulﲔ(48)

They ask ˹the believers˺, “When will this threat come to pass if what you say is true?”

10:49

ﲕSayﲖNotﲗI have powerﲘfor myselfﲙ(for) any harmﲚand notﲛ(for) any profitﲜexceptﲝwhatﲞAllah willsﲟﲠAllah willsﲡFor everyﲢnationﲣﲤ(is) a termﲥWhenﲦcomesﲧtheir termﲨthen notﲩthey remain behindﲪan hourﲫand notﲬthey can precede (it)ﲭ(49)

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I have no power to benefit or protect myself, except by the Will of Allah.” For each community there is an appointed term. When their time arrives, they cannot delay it for a moment, nor could they advance it.

10:50

ﲮSayﲯDo you seeﲰifﲱcomes to youﲲHis punishmentﲳ(by) nightﲴorﲵ(by) dayﲶwhat (portion)ﲷof it would (wish to) hastenﲸof it would (wish to) hastenﲹthe criminalsﲺ(50)

Tell them ˹O Prophet˺, “Imagine if His torment were to overcome you by night or day—do the wicked realize what they are ˹really˺ asking Him to hasten?

10:51

ﲻIs (it) thenﲼwhenﲽwhenﲾ(it had) occurredﲿyou (will) believeﳀﳁin itﳂNowﳃAnd certainlyﳄyou wereﳅseeking to hasten itﳆseeking to hasten itﳇ(51)

Will you believe in it only after it has overtaken you? Now? But you always wanted to hasten it!”

10:52

ﳈThenﳉit will be saidﳊto those whoﳋwrongedﳌTasteﳍpunishmentﳎthe everlastingﳏAre you (being) recompensedﳐAre you (being) recompensedﳑexceptﳒfor whatﳓyou used (to)ﳔearnﳕ(52)

Then the wrongdoers will be told, “Taste the torment of eternity! Are you not rewarded except for what you used to commit?”

10:53

ﳖ ﳗAnd they ask you to informﳘIs it trueﳙﳚIs it trueﳛSayﳜYesﳝby my LordﳞIndeed, itﳟﳠ(is) surely the truthﳡand notﳢyouﳣ(can) escape (it)ﳤ(53)

They ask you ˹O Prophet˺, “Is this true?” Say, “Yes, by my Lord! Most certainly it is true! And you will have no escape.”
