10:79

ﱁAnd Firaun saidﱂAnd Firaun saidﱃBring to meﱄeveryﱅmagicianﱆlearnedﱇ(79)

Pharaoh demanded, “Bring me every skilled magician.”

10:80

ﱈSo whenﱉcameﱊthe magiciansﱋsaidﱌto themﱍMusaﱎThrowﱏwhateverﱐyouﱑ(wish to) throwﱒ(80)

When the magicians came, Moses said to them, “Cast whatever you wish to cast!”

10:81

ﱓThen whenﱔthey (had) thrownﱕMusa saidﱖMusa saidﱗWhatﱘyou have broughtﱙ[it]ﱚﱛ(is) the magicﱜIndeedﱝAllahﱞwill nullify itﱟIndeedﱠAllahﱡ(does) notﱢamendﱣthe workﱤ(of) the corruptersﱥ(81)

When they did, Moses said, “What you have produced is mere magic, Allah will surely make it useless, for Allah certainly does not set right the work of the corruptors.

10:82

ﱦAnd Allah will establishﱧAnd Allah will establishﱨthe truthﱩby His wordsﱪeven ifﱫdislike itﱬthe criminalsﱭ(82)

And Allah establishes the truth by His Words—even to the dismay of the wicked.”

10:83

ﱮBut noneﱯbelievedﱰMusaﱱexceptﱲ(the) offspringﱳamongﱴhis peopleﱵforﱶfearﱷofﱸFiraunﱹand their chiefsﱺlestﱻﱼthey persecute themﱽAnd indeedﱾFiraunﱿ(was) a tyrantﲀinﲁthe earthﲂand indeed, heﲃ(was) ofﲄthe ones who commit excessesﲅ(83)

But no one believed in Moses except a few youths of his people, while fearing that Pharaoh and their own chiefs might persecute them. And certainly Pharaoh was a tyrant in the land, and he was truly a transgressor.

10:84

ﲆAnd Musa saidﲇAnd Musa saidﲈO my peopleﲉIfﲊyou haveﲋbelievedﲌin Allahﲍthen on Himﲎput your trustﲏifﲐyou areﲑMuslimsﲒ(84)

Moses said, “O my people! If you do believe in Allah and submit ˹to His Will˺, then put your trust in Him.”

10:85

ﲓThen they saidﲔUponﲕAllahﲖwe put our trustﲗOur Lordﲘ(Do) notﲙmake usﲚa trialﲛfor the people ﲜthe wrongdoersﲝ(85)

They replied, “In Allah we trust. Our Lord! Do not subject us to the persecution of the oppressive people,

10:86

ﲞAnd save usﲟby Your Mercyﲠfromﲡthe people ﲢthe disbelieversﲣ(86)

and deliver us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.”

10:87

ﲤAnd We inspiredﲥtoﲦMusaﲧand his brotherﲨthatﲩSettleﲪyour peopleﲫin Egyptﲬ(in) housesﲭand makeﲮyour housesﲯ(as) places of worshipﲰand establishﲱﲲthe prayerﲳAnd give glad tidingsﲴ(to) the believersﲵ(87)

We revealed to Moses and his brother, “Appoint houses for your people in Egypt. Turn these houses into places of worship, establish prayer, and give good news to the believers!”

10:88

ﲶAnd Musa saidﲷAnd Musa saidﲸOur LordﲹIndeed, Youﲺhave givenﲻFiraunﲼand his chiefsﲽsplendorﲾand wealthﲿinﳀthe lifeﳁ(of) the worldﳂOur LordﳃThat they may lead astrayﳄfromﳅﳆYour wayﳇOur LordﳈDestroyﳉ[on]ﳊtheir wealthﳋand hardenﳌ[on]ﳍtheir heartsﳎso (that) notﳏthey believeﳐuntilﳑthey seeﳒthe punishment ﳓthe painfulﳔ(88)

Moses prayed, “Our Lord! You have granted Pharaoh and his chiefs luxuries and riches in this worldly life, ˹which they abused˺ to lead people astray from Your Way! Our Lord, destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment.”
