11:89

And O my people(Let) not cause you to sin(Let) not cause you to sinmy dissensionlestbefalls yousimilar(to) whatbefell(the) people of Nuh(the) people of Nuhor(the) people of Hud(the) people of Hudorpeople of Salihﱑﱒpeople of SalihAnd not(are the) people of Lut(are the) people of Lutfrom youfar off(89)

O  my people! Do not let your opposition to me lead you to a fate similar to that of the people of Noah, or Hûd, or Ṣâliḥ. And the people of Lot are not far from you.1

11:90

And ask forgiveness(of) your Lordthenturn in repentanceﱝﱞto HimIndeedmy Lord(is) Most MercifulMost Loving(90)

So seek your Lord’s forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance. Surely my Lord is Most Merciful, All-Loving.”

11:91

They saidO ShuaibNotwe understandmuchof whatyou sayand indeed, wesurely [we] see youamong usﱮﱯweakAnd if notfor your familyﱲﱳsurely we would have stoned youand you are notand you are notagainst usmighty(91)

They threatened, “O Shu’aib! We do not comprehend much of what you say, and surely we see you powerless among us. Were it not for your clan, we would have certainly stoned you, for you are nothing to us.”

11:92

He saidO my peopleIs my familymightieron youthanﱿAllahAnd you have taken Himbehind yourﲂﲃbacksIndeedmy Lordof whatyou do(is) All-Encompassing(92)

He said, “O my people! Do you have more regard for my clan than for Allah, turning your back on Him entirely? Surely my Lord is Fully Aware of what you do.

11:93

And O my peopleWork(according) toyour positionindeed, I amﲏﲐworkingSoonyou will know(on) whomwill comea punishment(that will) disgrace himand who[he]ﲙﲚ(is) a liarAnd watchindeed, I amwith youa watcher(93)

O  my people! Persist in your ways, for I ˹too˺ will persist in mine. You will soon come to know who will be visited by a humiliating torment and is a liar! And watch! I too am watching with you!”

11:94

And whencameOur CommandWe savedShuaiband those whobelievedwith himby a Mercyfrom UsAnd seizedthose whowrongedthe thunderous blastthen they becameintheir homesfallen prone(94)

When Our command came, We saved Shu’aib and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us. And the ˹mighty˺ blast overtook the wrongdoers, so they fell lifeless in their homes,

11:95

As ifnotthey (had) prosperedﲶﲷthereinSoawaywith Madyanaswas taken awaythe Thamud(95)

as if they had never lived there. So away with Midian as it was with Thamûd!

11:96

ﲿAnd certainlyWe sentMusawith Our Signsand an authorityclear(96)

Indeed, We sent Moses with Our signs and compelling proof

11:97

ToFiraunand his chiefsbut they followed(the) command of Firaunﳋﳌ(the) command of Firaunand not(the) command of Firaun(the) command of Firaunwas right(97)

to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they followed the command of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh’s command was not well guided.
