11:98

ﱁHe will precedeﱂhis peopleﱃ(on the) Dayﱄ(of) the Resurrectionﱅand lead themﱆﱇ(into) the FireﱈAnd wretchedﱉ(is) the placeﱊto which (they are) ledﱋ(98)

He will be before his people on the Day of Judgment and will lead them into the Fire. What an evil place to be led into!

11:99

ﱌAnd they were followedﱍinﱎthisﱏ(by) a curseﱐand (on the) Dayﱑﱒ(of) the ResurrectionﱓWretchedﱔ(is) the giftﱕwhich (will) be givenﱖ(99)

They were followed by a curse in this ˹life˺ and ˹will receive another˺ on the Day of Judgment. What an evil gift to receive!

11:100

ﱗThatﱘ(is) fromﱙ(the) newsﱚ(of) the citiesﱛ(which) We relateﱜﱝto youﱞof themﱟsome are standingﱠand (some) mownﱡ(100)

These are accounts, We relate to you ˹O Prophet˺, of the ˹destroyed˺ cities. Some are still standing ˹barren˺, while others have been mowed down.

11:101

ﱢAnd notﱣWe wronged themﱤbutﱥthey wrongedﱦﱧthemselvesﱨSo notﱩavailedﱪthemﱫtheir godsﱬwhichﱭthey invokedﱮother than Allahﱯother than Allahﱰother than Allahﱱanyﱲthingﱳwhenﱴcameﱵ(the) command (of) your Lordﱶﱷ(the) command (of) your LordﱸAnd notﱹthey increased themﱺother thanﱻruinﱼ(101)

We did not wrong them, rather they wronged themselves. The gods they invoked beside Allah were of no help at all when the command of your Lord came, and only contributed to their ruin.

11:102

ﱽAnd thusﱾ(is) the seizure (of) your Lordﱿ(is) the seizure (of) your LordﲀwhenﲁHe seizesﲂthe citiesﲃwhile theyﲄﲅ(are) doing wrongﲆIndeedﲇHis seizureﲈ(is) painfulﲉ(and) severeﲊ(102)

Such is the ˹crushing˺ grip of your Lord when He seizes the societies entrenched in wrongdoing. Indeed, His grip is ˹terribly˺ painful and severe.

11:103

ﲋIndeedﲌinﲍthatﲎ(is) surely a Signﲏfor (those) whoﲐfearﲑ(the) punishmentﲒﲓ(of) the HereafterﲔThatﲕ(is) a Dayﲖ(will) be gatheredﲗon itﲘthe mankindﲙand thatﲚ(is) a Dayﲛwitnessedﲜ(103)

Surely in this is a sign for those who fear the torment of the Hereafter. That is a Day for which humanity will be gathered and a Day ˹that will be˺ witnessed ˹by all˺.

11:104

ﲝAnd notﲞWe delay itﲟexceptﲠfor a termﲡlimitedﲢ(104)

We only delay it for a fixed term.

11:105

ﲣ(The) Dayﲤ(it) comesﲥnotﲦwill speakﲧa soulﲨexceptﲩﲪby His leaveﲫThen among themﲬ(will be the) wretchedﲭand (the) gladﲮ(105)

When that Day arrives, no one will dare speak except with His permission. Some of them will be miserable, others joyful.

11:106

ﲯAs forﲰthose whoﲱwere wretchedﲲthen (they will be) inﲳthe FireﲴFor themﲵthereinﲶ(is) sighingﲷand wailingﲸ(106)

As for those bound for misery, they will be in the Fire, where they will be sighing and gasping,

11:107

ﲹ(Will be) abidingﲺthereinﲻas long as remainﲼas long as remainﲽthe heavensﲾand the earthﲿexceptﳀwhat your Lord willsﳁwhat your Lord willsﳂﳃwhat your Lord willsﳄIndeedﳅyour Lordﳆ(is) All-Accomplisherﳇof whatﳈHe intendsﳉ(107)

staying there forever, as long as the heavens and the earth will endure, except what your Lord wills.1 Surely your Lord does what He intends.

11:108

ﳊ ﳋAnd as forﳌthose whoﳍwere gladﳎthen (they will be) inﳏParadiseﳐ(will be) abidingﳑthereinﳒas long as remainsﳓas long as remainsﳔthe heavensﳕand the earthﳖexceptﳗwhat your Lord wills ﳘwhat your Lord wills ﳙﳚwhat your Lord wills ﳛa bestowalﳜnotﳝinterruptedﳞ(108)

And as for those destined to joy, they will be in Paradise, staying there forever, as long as the heavens and the earth will endure, except what your Lord wills1—a ˹generous˺ giving, without end.
