16:15

And He has castinthe earthfirm mountainslestit should shakewith youand riversand roadsso that you maybe guided(15)

He has placed into the earth firm mountains, so it does not shake with you, as well as rivers, and pathways so you may find your way.

16:16

ﱍﱎAnd landmarksAnd by the starstheyguide themselves(16)

Also by landmarks and stars do people find their way.

16:17

Then is He Whocreateslike one who(does) notﱗﱘcreateThen will you notremember(17)

Can the One Who creates be equal to those who do not? Will you not then be mindful?

16:18

And ifyou should countthe Favors of Allahthe Favors of Allahnotﱡﱢyou could enumerate themIndeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful(18)

If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you would never be able to number them. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

16:19

And Allahknowswhatyou concealand whatyou reveal(19)

And Allah knows what you conceal and what you reveal.

16:20

And those whomthey invokebesidesbesidesAllahnotthey createanythingbut (are) themselvescreated(20)

But those ˹idols˺ they invoke besides Allah cannot create anything—they themselves are created.

16:21

(They are) deadnot aliveﱼﱽnot aliveAnd notﱿthey perceivewhenthey will be resurrected(21)

They are dead, not alive—not even knowing when their followers will be resurrected.

16:22

Your god(is) GodﲅﲆOneBut those who(do) notbelievein the Hereaftertheir heartsrefuseand they(are) arrogant(22)

Your God is ˹only˺ One God. As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are in denial, and they are too proud.

16:23

No doubtNo doubtthatAllahknowswhatthey concealand whatﲘﲙthey revealIndeed, He(does) notlovethe arrogant ones(23)

Without a doubt, Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal. He certainly does not like those who are too proud.

16:24

And whenit is saidto themWhathas your Lord sent downhas your Lord sent downThey sayTales(of) the ancient(24)

And when it is said to them, “What has your Lord revealed?” They say, “Ancient fables!”

16:25

That they may beartheir own burdens(in) fullon (the) Day(of) the Resurrectionand ofthe burdens(of) those whomthey misled [them]withoutﲳﲴknowledgeUnquestionablyevil(is) whatthey will bear(25)

Let them bear their burdens in full on the Day of Judgment as well as some of the burdens of those they mislead without knowledge. Evil indeed is what they will bear!

16:26

Verilyplottedthose who(were) before them(were) before themﲿbut Allah camebut Allah came(at) their buildingfromthe foundationsso fellupon themthe rooffromabove themand came to themthe punishmentfromwherethey (did) not perceivethey (did) not perceive(26)

Indeed, those before them had plotted, but Allah struck at the ˹very˺ foundation of their structure, so the roof collapsed on top of them, and the torment came upon them from where they did not expect.1
