16:103

ﱁAnd certainlyﱂWe knowﱃthat theyﱄsayﱅOnlyﱆteaches himﱇﱈa human beingﱉ(The) tongueﱊ(of) the oneﱋthey referﱌto himﱍ(is) foreignﱎwhile thisﱏ(is) a languageﱐArabicﱑclearﱒ(103)

And We surely know that they say, “No one is teaching him except a human.” But the man they refer to speaks a foreign tongue, whereas this ˹Quran˺ is ˹in˺ eloquent Arabic.1

16:104

ﱓIndeedﱔthose whoﱕ(do) notﱖbelieveﱗin the Versesﱘ(of) AllahﱙnotﱚAllah will guide themﱛAllah will guide themﱜand for themﱝ(is) a punishmentﱞpainfulﱟ(104)

Surely those who do not believe in Allah’s revelations will never be guided by Allah, and they will suffer a painful punishment.

16:105

ﱠOnlyﱡthey inventﱢthe falsehoodﱣthose whoﱤ(do) notﱥbelieveﱦin the Versesﱧﱨ(of) Allahﱩand those ﱪtheyﱫ(are) the liarsﱬ(105)

No one fabricates lies except those who disbelieve in Allah’s revelations, and it is they who are the ˹true˺ liars.

16:106

ﱭWhoeverﱮdisbelievesﱯin Allahﱰafterﱱafterﱲhis beliefﱳexceptﱴ(one) whoﱵis forcedﱶwhile his heartﱷ(is) contentﱸwith the faithﱹButﱺ(one) whoﱻopensﱼto disbeliefﱽ(his) breastﱾthen upon themﱿ(is) a wrathﲀofﲁAllahﲂand for themﲃ(is) a punishmentﲄgreatﲅ(106)

Whoever disbelieves in Allah after their belief—not those who are forced while their hearts are firm in faith,1 but those who embrace disbelief wholeheartedly—they will be condemned by Allah and suffer a tremendous punishment.

16:107

ﲆThat (is)ﲇbecauseﲈthey preferredﲉthe lifeﲊ(of) the worldﲋoverﲌthe Hereafterﲍand thatﲎAllahﲏ(does) notﲐguideﲑthe peopleﲒthe disbelieversﲓ(107)

This is because they prefer the life of this world over the Hereafter. Surely Allah never guides those who ˹choose to˺ disbelieve.

16:108

ﲔThoseﲕ(are) the ones ﲖAllah has set a sealﲗAllah has set a sealﲘoverﲙtheir heartsﲚand their hearingﲛﲜand their sightﲝAnd those ﲞthey areﲟthe heedlessﲠ(108)

They are the ones whose hearts, ears, and eyes are sealed by Allah, and it is they who are ˹truly˺ heedless.

16:109

ﲡNoﲢdoubtﲣthat theyﲤinﲥthe Hereafterﲦ[they]ﲧ(are) the losersﲨ(109)

Without a doubt, they will be the losers in the Hereafter.

16:110

ﲩThenﲪindeedﲫyour Lordﲬto those whoﲭemigratedﲮafterﲯafterﲰwhatﲱthey had been put to trialsﲲthenﲳstrove hardﲴand were patientﲵIndeedﲶyour Lordﲷafter itﲸafter itﲹsurely is Oft-ForgivingﲺMost Mercifulﲻ(110)

As for those who emigrated after being compelled ˹to renounce Islam˺, then struggled ˹in Allah’s cause˺, and persevered, your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ is truly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful after all.
