21:45

ﱁSayﱂOnlyﱃI warn youﱄﱅby the revelationﱆBut notﱇhearﱈthe deafﱉthe callﱊwhenﱋwhenﱌthey are warnedﱍ(45)

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I warn you only by revelation.” But the deaf cannot hear the call when they are warned!

21:46

ﱎAnd ifﱏtouches themﱐa whiffﱑofﱒ(the) punishmentﱓ(of) your Lordﱔsurely they will sayﱕO woe to usﱖIndeed, weﱗ[we] wereﱘwrongdoersﱙ(46)

If they were touched by even a breath of your Lord’s torment, they would certainly cry, “Woe to us! We have really been wrongdoers.”

21:47

ﱚAnd We setﱛthe scalesﱜ(of) the justiceﱝfor (the) Dayﱞ(of) the Resurrectionﱟso notﱠwill be wrongedﱡany soulﱢﱣ(in) anythingﱤAnd ifﱥ(there) beﱦweightﱧ(of) a seedﱨofﱩa mustardﱪWe will bringﱫﱬ[with] itﱭAnd sufficientﱮ(are) Weﱯ(as) Reckonersﱰ(47)

We set up the scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so no soul will be wronged in the least. And ˹even˺ if a deed is the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as a ˹vigilant˺ Reckoner.

21:48

ﱱAnd verilyﱲWe gaveﱳMusaﱴand Harunﱵthe Criterionﱶand a lightﱷand a Reminderﱸfor the righteousﱹ(48)

Indeed, We granted Moses and Aaron the decisive authority—a light and a reminder for the righteous,

21:49

ﱺThose whoﱻfearﱼtheir Lordﱽin the unseenﱾand theyﱿofﲀthe Hourﲁ(are) afraidﲂ(49)

who are in awe of their Lord without seeing Him,1 and are fearful of the Hour.

21:50

ﲃAnd thisﲄ(is) a Reminderﲅblessedﲆﲇwhich We (have) revealedﲈThen are youﲉof itﲊrejectersﲋ(50)

And this ˹Quran˺ is a blessed reminder which We have revealed. Will you ˹pagans˺ then deny it?

21:51

ﲌ ﲍAnd verilyﲎWe gaveﲏIbrahimﲐhis guidanceﲑbeforeﲒbeforeﲓand We wereﲔabout himﲕWell-Knowingﲖ(51)

And indeed, We had granted Abraham sound judgment early on, for We knew him well ˹to be worthy of it˺.

21:52

ﲗWhenﲘhe saidﲙto his fatherﲚand his peopleﲛWhatﲜ(are) theseﲝ[the] statuesﲞwhichﲟyouﲠto itﲡ(are) devotedﲢ(52)

˹Remember˺ when he questioned his father and his people, “What are these statues to which you are so devoted?”

21:53

ﲣThey saidﲤWe foundﲥour forefathersﲦof themﲧworshippersﲨ(53)

They replied, “We found our forefathers worshipping them.”

21:54

ﲩHe saidﲪVerilyﲫyou areﲬ[you]ﲭand your forefathersﲮ(were) inﲯan errorﲰmanifestﲱ(54)

He responded, “Indeed, you and your forefathers have been clearly astray.”

21:55

ﲲThey saidﲳHave you come to usﲴwith the truthﲵorﲶyouﲷ(are) ofﲸthose who playﲹ(55)

They asked, “Have you come to us with the truth, or is this a joke?”

21:56

ﲺHe saidﲻNayﲼyour Lordﲽ(is the) Lordﲾ(of) the heavensﲿand the earthﳀthe One Whoﳁcreated themﳂand I amﳃtoﳄthatﳅofﳆthe witnessesﳇ(56)

He replied, “In fact, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them ˹both˺. And to that I bear witness.”

21:57

ﳈAnd by Allahﳉsurely, I will planﳊ(against) your idolsﳋafterﳌ[that]ﳍyou go awayﳎturning (your) backsﳏ(57)

˹Then he said to himself,˺ “By Allah! I will surely plot against your idols after you have turned your backs and gone away.”
