23:1

ﱁIndeedﱂsuccessfulﱃ(are) the believersﱄ(1)

Successful indeed are the believers:

23:2

ﱅThose whoﱆ[they]ﱇduringﱈtheir prayersﱉ(are) humbly submissiveﱊ(2)

those who humble themselves in prayer;

23:3

ﱋThose whoﱌ[they]ﱍfromﱎthe vain talkﱏturn awayﱐ(3)

those who avoid idle talk;

23:4

ﱑThose whoﱒ[they]ﱓof purification worksﱔ(are) doersﱕ(4)

those who pay alms-tax;1

23:5

ﱖAnd those whoﱗ[they]ﱘof their modestyﱙ(are) guardiansﱚ(5)

those who guard their chastity1

23:6

ﱛExceptﱜfromﱝtheir spousesﱞorﱟwhatﱠpossessﱡtheir right handsﱢthen indeed, theyﱣ(are) notﱤblameworthyﱥ(6)

except with their wives or those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession,1 for then they are free from blame,

23:7

ﱦThen whoeverﱧseeksﱨbeyondﱩthatﱪthen thoseﱫ[they]ﱬ(are) the transgressorsﱭ(7)

but whoever seeks beyond that are the transgressors;

23:8

ﱮAnd those whoﱯ[they]ﱰof their trustsﱱand their promise(s)ﱲ(are) observersﱳ(8)

˹the believers are also˺ those who are true to their trusts and covenants;

23:9

ﱴAnd those whoﱵ[they]ﱶoverﱷtheir prayersﱸthey guardﱹ(9)

and those who are ˹properly˺ observant of their prayers.

23:10

ﱺThoseﱻ[they]ﱼ(are) the inheritorsﱽ(10)

These are the ones who will be awarded

23:11

ﱾWhoﱿwill inheritﲀthe ParadiseﲁTheyﲂthereinﲃ(will) abide foreverﲄ(11)

Paradise as their own.1 They will be there forever.

23:12

ﲅAnd indeedﲆWe createdﲇthe humankindﲈfromﲉan essenceﲊofﲋclayﲌ(12)

And indeed, We created humankind1 from an extract of clay,

23:13

ﲍThenﲎWe placed himﲏ(as) a semen-dropﲐinﲑa resting placeﲒfirmﲓ(13)

then placed each ˹human˺ as a sperm-drop1 in a secure place,

23:14

ﲔThenﲕWe createdﲖthe semen-dropﲗ(into) a clinging substanceﲘthen We createdﲙthe clinging substanceﲚ(into) an embryonic lumpﲛthen We createdﲜthe embryonic lumpﲝ(into) bonesﲞthen We clothedﲟthe bonesﲠ(with) fleshﲡthenﲢWe produce itﲣ(as) a creationﲤﲥanotherﲦSo blessed isﲧAllahﲨ(the) Bestﲩ(of) the Creatorsﲪ(14)

then We developed the drop into a clinging clot, then developed the clot into a lump ˹of flesh˺, then developed the lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, then We brought it into being as a new creation.1 So Blessed is Allah, the Best of Creators.

23:15

ﲫThenﲬindeed, youﲭafterﲮthatﲯsurely (will) dieﲰ(15)

After that you will surely die,

23:16

ﲱThenﲲindeed, youﲳ(on the) Dayﲴ(of) the Resurrectionﲵwill be resurrectedﲶ(16)

then on the Day of Judgment you will be resurrected.

23:17

ﲷAnd indeedﲸWe (have) createdﲹabove youﲺsevenﲻpathsﲼand notﲽWe areﲾofﲿthe creationﳀunawareﳁ(17)

And indeed, We created above you seven levels ˹of heaven˺. We are never unmindful of ˹Our˺ creation.
