23:18

ﱁAnd We send downﱂfromﱃthe skyﱄwaterﱅin (due) measureﱆthen We cause it to settleﱇinﱈﱉthe earthﱊAnd indeed, Weﱋonﱌtaking it awayﱍtaking it awayﱎsurely (are) Ableﱏ(18)

We send down rain from the sky in perfect measure, causing it to soak into the earth. And We are surely able to take it away.

23:19

ﱐThen We producedﱑfor youﱒby itﱓgardensﱔof date-palmsﱕof date-palmsﱖand grapevinesﱗfor youﱘin itﱙ(are) fruitsﱚabundantﱛand from themﱜyou eatﱝ(19)

With it We produce for you gardens of palm trees and grapevines, in which there are abundant fruits, and from which you may eat,

23:20

ﱞAnd a treeﱟ(that) springs forthﱠfromﱡMount SinaiﱢMount Sinaiﱣ(which) producesﱤoilﱥand a relishﱦfor those who eatﱧ(20)

as well as ˹olive˺ trees which grow at Mount Sinai, providing oil and a condiment to eat.

23:21

ﱨAnd indeedﱩfor youﱪinﱫthe cattleﱬﱭsurely, (is) a lessonﱮWe give you drinkﱯfrom whatﱰ(is) inﱱtheir belliesﱲand for youﱳin themﱴ(are) benefitsﱵmanyﱶand of themﱷyou eatﱸ(21)

And there is certainly a lesson for you in cattle, from whose bellies We give you ˹milk˺ to drink, and in them are many other benefits for you, and from them you may eat.

23:22

ﱹAnd on themﱺand onﱻ[the] shipsﱼyou are carriedﱽ(22)

And you are carried upon ˹some of˺ them and upon ships.

23:23

ﱾAnd verilyﱿWe sentﲀNuhﲁtoﲂhis peopleﲃand he saidﲄO my peopleﲅWorshipﲆAllahﲇnotﲈfor youﲉ(is) anyﲊgodﲋﲌother than HimﲍThen will notﲎyou fearﲏ(23)

Indeed, We sent Noah to his people. He declared, “O my people! Worship Allah ˹alone˺. You have no god other than Him. Will you not then fear ˹Him˺?”

23:24

ﲐBut saidﲑthe chiefsﲒ(of) those whoﲓdisbelievedﲔamongﲕhis peopleﲖThis is notﲗThis is notﲘbutﲙa manﲚlike youﲛhe wishesﲜtoﲝassert (his) superiorityﲞover youﲟand ifﲠAllah had willedﲡAllah had willedﲢsurely He (would have) sent downﲣAngelsﲤNotﲥwe heardﲦof thisﲧfromﲨour forefathersﲩour forefathersﲪ(24)

But the disbelieving chiefs of his people said ˹to the masses˺, “This is only a human like you, who wants to be superior to you. Had Allah willed, He could have easily sent down angels ˹instead˺. We have never heard of this in ˹the history of˺ our forefathers.

23:25

ﲫNotﲬheﲭ(is) butﲮa manﲯin himﲰ(is) madnessﲱso waitﲲconcerning himﲳuntilﲴa timeﲵ(25)

He is simply insane, so bear with him for a while.”1

23:26

ﲶHe saidﲷMy LordﲸHelp meﲹbecauseﲺthey deny meﲻ(26)

Noah prayed, “My Lord! Help me, because they have denied ˹me˺.”

23:27

ﲼSo We inspiredﲽto himﲾThatﲿconstructﳀthe shipﳁunder Our eyesﳂand Our inspirationﳃthen whenﳄcomesﳅOur Commandﳆand gushes forthﳇthe ovenﳈthen putﳉinto itﳊofﳋevery (kind)ﳌ(of) matesﳍtwoﳎand your familyﳏexceptﳐthoseﳑ(has) precededﳒagainst whomﳓthe WordﳔﳕthereofﳖAnd (do) notﳗaddress Meﳘconcerningﳙthose whoﳚwrongedﳛindeed, theyﳜ(are) the ones to be drownedﳝ(27)

So We inspired him: “Build the Ark under Our ˹watchful˺ Eyes and directions. Then when Our command comes and the oven bursts ˹with water˺,1 take on board a pair from every species along with your family—except those against whom the decree ˹to drown˺ has already been passed. And do not plead with Me for those who have done wrong, for they will surely be drowned.”
