28:85

IndeedHe Whoordainedupon youthe Quran(will) surely take you backtoﱈﱉa place of returnSayMy Lord(is) most knowing(of him) whocomeswith the guidanceand who he(is) inan errormanifest(85)

Most certainly, the One Who has ordained the Quran for you will ˹ultimately˺ bring you back home ˹to Mecca˺.1 Say, “My Lord knows best who has come with ˹true˺ guidance and who is clearly astray.”

28:86

And notyou wereexpectingthatwould be sent downto youthe Bookexcept(as) a mercyfromﱠﱡyour LordSo (do) notbean assistantto the disbelievers(86)

You never expected this Book to be revealed to you, but ˹it came˺ only ˹as˺ a mercy from your Lord. So never side with the disbelievers ˹in their disbelief˺.

28:87

And (let) notavert youfrom(the) Verses(of) Allahafter[when]they have been revealedﱯﱰto youAnd invite (people)toﱳﱴyour LordAnd (do) notbeofthe polytheists(87)

Do not let them turn you away from the revelations of Allah after they have been sent down to you. Rather, invite ˹all˺ to ˹the Way of˺ your Lord, and never be one of the polytheists.

28:88

And (do) notinvokewithAllahgodﱿﲀother(There is) nogodexceptﲄﲅHimEverything(will be) destroyedexceptﲊﲋHis FaceTo Him(is) the Decisionand to Himyou will be returned(88)

And do not invoke any other god with Allah. There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. Everything is bound to perish except He Himself.1 All authority belongs to Him. And to Him you will ˹all˺ be returned.

29. Al-'AnkabutThe Spider

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

29:1

Alif Laam Meem(1)

Alif-Lãm-Mĩm.

29:2

Do thinkthe peoplethatthey will be leftbecausethey sayWe believeand theywill not be testedwill not be tested(2)

Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test?

29:3

And indeedWe testedthose who(were) before themﲢﲣ(were) before themAnd Allah will surely make evidentAnd Allah will surely make evidentthose who(are) truthfuland He will surely make evidentthe liars(3)

We certainly tested those before them. And ˹in this way˺ Allah will clearly distinguish between those who are truthful and those who are liars.

29:4

Orthinkthose whodoevil deedsthatﲱﲲthey can outrun UsEvil iswhatthey judge(4)

Or do the evildoers ˹simply˺ think that they will escape Us? How wrong is their judgment!

29:5

Whoever[is]hopes(for the) meeting(with) Allahthen indeed(the) Term(of) Allahﲿﳀ(is) surely comingAnd He(is) the All-Hearerthe All-Knower(5)

Whoever hopes for the meeting with Allah, ˹let them know that˺ Allah’s appointed time is sure to come. He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

29:6

And whoeverstrivesthen onlyhe strivesﳉﳊfor himselfIndeedAllah(is) Free from needofthe worlds(6)

And whoever strives ˹in Allah’s cause˺, only does so for their own good. Surely Allah is not in need of ˹any of˺ His creation.
