37:103
ﱁThen whenﱂboth of them had submittedﱃand he put him downﱄupon his foreheadﱅ(103)
Then when they submitted ˹to Allah’s Will˺, and Abraham laid him on the side of his forehead ˹for sacrifice˺,
37:104
ﱆAnd We called out to himﱇthatﱈO Ibrahimﱉ(104)
We called out to him, “O Abraham!
37:105
ﱊVerilyﱋyou have fulfilledﱌﱍthe visionﱎIndeed, Weﱏthusﱐ[We] rewardﱑthe good-doersﱒ(105)
You have already fulfilled the vision.” Indeed, this is how We reward the good-doers.
37:106
ﱓIndeedﱔthisﱕ(was) surely [it]ﱖthe trialﱗclearﱘ(106)
That was truly a revealing test.
37:107
ﱙAnd We ransomed himﱚwith a sacrificeﱛgreatﱜ(107)
And We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice,1
37:108
ﱝAnd We leftﱞfor himﱟamongﱠthe later generationsﱡ(108)
and blessed Abraham ˹with honourable mention˺ among later generations:
37:109
ﱢPeace beﱣonﱤIbrahimﱥ(109)
“Peace be upon Abraham.”
37:110
ﱦThusﱧWe rewardﱨthe good-doersﱩ(110)
This is how We reward the good-doers.
37:111
ﱪIndeed, he (was)ﱫofﱬOur slavesﱭbelievingﱮ(111)
He was truly one of Our faithful servants.
37:112
ﱯAnd We gave him glad tidingsﱰof Isaacﱱa Prophetﱲamongﱳthe righteousﱴ(112)
We ˹later˺ gave him good news of Isaac—a prophet, and one of the righteous.1
37:113
ﱵAnd We blessedﱶhimﱷand [on]ﱸﱹIsaacﱺAnd ofﱻtheir offspringﱼ(are) good-doersﱽand unjustﱾto himselfﱿclearﲀ(113)
We blessed him1 and Isaac as well. Some of their descendants did good, while others clearly wronged themselves.
37:114
ﲁAnd verilyﲂWe conferred FavorﲃuponﲄMusaﲅand Harunﲆ(114)
And We certainly showed favour to Moses and Aaron,
37:115
ﲇAnd We saved both of themﲈand their peopleﲉfromﲊthe distressﲋthe greatﲌ(115)
and delivered them and their people from the great distress.
37:116
ﲍAnd We helped themﲎso they becameﲏso they becameﲐthe victorsﲑ(116)
We helped them so it was they who prevailed.
37:117
ﲒAnd We gave both of themﲓthe Bookﲔthe clearﲕ(117)
We gave them the clear Scripture,
37:118
ﲖAnd We guided both of themﲗ(to) the Pathﲘthe Straightﲙ(118)
and guided them to the Straight Path.
37:119
ﲚAnd We leftﲛfor both of themﲜamongﲝthe later generationsﲞ(119)
And We blessed them ˹with honourable mention˺ among later generations:
37:120
ﲟPeace beﲠuponﲡMusaﲢand Harunﲣ(120)
“Peace be upon Moses and Aaron.”
37:121
ﲤIndeed, Weﲥthusﲦrewardﲧthe good-doersﲨ(121)
Indeed, this is how We reward the good-doers.
37:122
ﲩIndeed, both of themﲪ(were) ofﲫOur slavesﲬbelievingﲭ(122)
They were truly ˹two˺ of Our faithful servants.
37:123
ﲮAnd indeedﲯElijahﲰ(was) surely ofﲱthe Messengersﲲ(123)
And Elias was indeed one of the messengers.
37:124
ﲳWhenﲴhe saidﲵto his peopleﲶWill notﲷyou fearﲸ(124)
˹Remember˺ when he said to his people, “Will you not fear ˹Allah˺?
37:125
ﲹDo you callﲺBaalﲻand you forsakeﲼ(the) Bestﲽ(of) Creators ﲾ(125)
Do you call upon ˹the idol of˺ Ba’l and abandon the Best of Creators—
37:126
ﲿAllahﳀyour Lordﳁand (the) Lordﳂ(of) your forefathersﳃ(of) your forefathersﳄ(126)
Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?”
