بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful
3:1
ﱁAlif Laam Meemﱂ(1)
Alif-Lãm-Mĩm.
3:2
ﱃAllah ﱄ(there is) noﱅGodﱆexceptﱇHimﱈthe Ever-Livingﱉthe Sustainer of all that existsﱊ(2)
Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him—the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining.
3:3
ﱋHe revealedﱌto youﱍthe Bookﱎin [the] truthﱏconfirmingﱐthat whichﱑ(was)ﱒbefore itﱓand He revealedﱔthe Tauratﱕand the Injeelﱖ(3)
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
3:4
ﱗFromﱘbefore (this)ﱙ(as) guidanceﱚfor the mankindﱛAnd (He) revealedﱜﱝthe CriterionﱞVerilyﱟthose whoﱠdisbelieve[d]ﱡin (the) Versesﱢ(of) Allahﱣfor themﱤ(is) a punishmentﱥﱦsevereﱧAnd Allahﱨ(is) All-MightyﱩAll-Ableﱪ(of) retributionﱫ(4)
previously, as a guide for people, and ˹also˺ revealed the Decisive Authority.1 Surely those who reject Allah’s revelations will suffer a severe torment. For Allah is Almighty, capable of punishment.
3:5
ﱬIndeedﱭAllah ﱮnotﱯis hiddenﱰfrom Himﱱanythingﱲinﱳthe earthﱴand notﱵinﱶthe heavenﱷ(5)
Surely nothing on earth or in the heavens is hidden from Allah.
3:6
ﱸHeﱹ(is) the One Whoﱺshapes youﱻinﱼthe wombsﱽhow(ever)ﱾﱿHe willsﲀ(There is) noﲁgodﲂexceptﲃHimﲄthe All-Mightyﲅthe All-Wiseﲆ(6)
He is the One Who shapes you in the wombs of your mothers as He wills. There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him—the Almighty, All-Wise.
3:7
ﲇHeﲈ(is) the One Whoﲉrevealedﲊto youﲋthe Bookﲌof itﲍ(are) Versesﲎabsolutely clear ﲏthey (are)ﲐthe foundationﲑ(of) the Bookﲒand othersﲓﲔ(are) allegoricalﲕThen as forﲖthoseﲗinﲘtheir heartsﲙ(is) perversity ﲚ[so] they followﲛwhatﲜ(is) allegoricalﲝof itﲞseekingﲟ[the] discordﲠand seekingﲡﲢits interpretationﲣAnd notﲤknowsﲥits interpretationﲦexceptﲧﲨAllahﲩAnd those firmﲪinﲫ[the] knowledgeﲬthey sayﲭWe believeﲮin itﲯAllﲰ(is)ﲱfromﲲﲳour LordﲴAnd notﲵwill take heedﲶexceptﲷmenﲸ(of) understandingﲹ(7)
He is the One Who has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book, of which some verses are precise—they are the foundation of the Book—while others are elusive.1 Those with deviant hearts follow the elusive verses seeking ˹to spread˺ doubt through their ˹false˺ interpretations—but none grasps their ˹full˺ meaning except Allah. As for those well-grounded in knowledge, they say, “We believe in this ˹Quran˺—it is all from our Lord.” But none will be mindful ˹of this˺ except people of reason.
3:8
ﲺOur Lordﲻ(Do) notﲼdeviateﲽour heartsﲾafterﲿ[when]ﳀYou (have) guided usﳁand grantﳂ(for) usﳃfromﳄYourselfﳅﳆmercyﳇIndeed YouﳈYouﳉ(are) the Bestowerﳊ(8)
˹They say,˺ “Our Lord! Do not let our hearts deviate after you have guided us. Grant us Your mercy. You are indeed the Giver ˹of all bounties˺.
3:9
ﳋOur LordﳌIndeed, Youﳍwill gatherﳎ[the] mankindﳏon a Dayﳐ(there is) noﳑdoubtﳒﳓin itﳔIndeedﳕAllahﳖ(does) notﳗbreakﳘthe Promiseﳙ(9)
Our Lord! You will certainly gather all humanity for the ˹promised˺ Day—about which there is no doubt. Surely Allah does not break His promise.”
