49:5

ﱁAnd ifﱂtheyﱃhad been patientﱄuntilﱅyou came outﱆto themﱇcertainly it would beﱈbetterﱉﱊfor themﱋAnd Allahﱌ(is) Oft-ForgivingﱍMost Mercifulﱎ(5)

Had they been patient until you could come out to them, it would have certainly been better for them. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

49:6

ﱏO you who believeﱐO you who believeﱑO you who believeﱒIfﱓcomes to youﱔa wicked personﱕwith informationﱖinvestigateﱗlestﱘyou harmﱙa peopleﱚin ignoranceﱛthen you becomeﱜoverﱝwhatﱞyou have doneﱟregretfulﱠ(6)

O believers, if an evildoer brings you any news, verify ˹it˺ so you do not harm people unknowingly, becoming regretful for what you have done.1

49:7

ﱡAnd knowﱢthatﱣamong youﱤ(is the) Messenger of Allahﱥﱦ(is the) Messenger of AllahﱧIfﱨhe were to obey youﱩinﱪmuchﱫofﱬthe matterﱭsurely you would be in difficultyﱮbutﱯAllahﱰhas endearedﱱto youﱲthe Faithﱳand has made it pleasingﱴinﱵyour heartsﱶand has made hatefulﱷto youﱸdisbeliefﱹand defianceﱺﱻand disobedienceﱼThoseﱽ(are) they ﱾthe guided onesﱿ(7)

And keep in mind that Allah’s Messenger is ˹still˺ in your midst. If he were to yield to you in many matters, you would surely suffer ˹the consequences˺.1 But Allah has endeared faith to you, making it appealing in your hearts. And He has made disbelief, rebelliousness, and disobedience detestable to you. Those are the ones rightly guided.

49:8

ﲀA Bountyﲁfrom Allahﲂfrom Allahﲃﲄand favorﲅAnd Allahﲆ(is) All-KnowerﲇAll-Wiseﲈ(8)

˹This is˺ a bounty and a blessing from Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

49:9

ﲉAnd ifﲊtwo partiesﲋamongﲌthe believersﲍfightﲎthen make peaceﲏﲐbetween both of themﲑBut ifﲒoppressesﲓone of themﲔonﲕthe otherﲖthen fightﲗone whichﲘoppressesﲙuntilﲚit returnsﲛtoﲜ(the) commandﲝﲞ(of) AllahﲟThen ifﲠit returnsﲡthen make peaceﲢbetween themﲣwith justiceﲤﲥand act justlyﲦIndeedﲧAllahﲨlovesﲩthose who act justlyﲪ(9)

And if two groups of believers fight each other, then make peace between them. But if one of them transgresses against the other, then fight against the transgressing group until they ˹are willing to˺ submit to the rule of Allah. If they do so, then make peace between both ˹groups˺ in all fairness and act justly. Surely Allah loves those who uphold justice.

49:10

ﲫOnlyﲬthe believersﲭ(are) brothersﲮso make peaceﲯbetweenﲰﲱyour brothersﲲand fear Allahﲳand fear Allahﲴso that you mayﲵreceive mercyﲶ(10)

The believers are but one brotherhood, so make peace between your brothers. And be mindful of Allah so you may be shown mercy.

49:11

ﲷO you who believeﲸO you who believeﲹO you who believeﲺ(Let) notﲻridiculeﲼa peopleﲽ[of]ﲾ(another) peopleﲿperhapsﳀthatﳁthey may beﳂbetterﳃthan themﳄand (let) notﳅwomenﳆ[of]ﳇ(other) womenﳈperhapsﳉthatﳊthey may beﳋbetterﳌﳍthan themﳎAnd (do) notﳏinsultﳐyourselvesﳑand (do) notﳒcall each otherﳓﳔby nicknamesﳕWretched isﳖthe nameﳗ(of) disobedienceﳘafterﳙﳚthe faithﳛAnd whoeverﳜ(does) notﳝrepentﳞthen those ﳟtheyﳠ(are) the wrongdoersﳡ(11)

O believers! Do not let some ˹men˺ ridicule others, they may be better than them, nor let ˹some˺ women ridicule other women, they may be better than them. Do not defame one another, nor call each other by offensive nicknames. How evil it is to act rebelliously after having faith! And whoever does not repent, it is they who are the ˹true˺ wrongdoers.
