ﱁIn themﱂ(are) goodﱃand beautiful onesﱄ(70)

In all Gardens will be noble, pleasant mates.

55:71

ﱅSo whichﱆ(of the) favorsﱇ(of) your Lordﱈwill you both denyﱉ(71)

Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?

55:72

ﱊFair onesﱋrestrainedﱌinﱍthe pavilionsﱎ(72)

˹They will be˺ maidens with gorgeous eyes, reserved in pavilions.

55:73

ﱏSo whichﱐ(of the) favorsﱑ(of) your Lordﱒwill you both denyﱓ(73)

Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?

55:74

ﱔNotﱕhas touched themﱖany manﱗbefore themﱘand notﱙany jinnﱚ(74)

No human or jinn has ever touched these ˹maidens˺ before.1

55:75

ﱛSo whichﱜ(of the) favorsﱝ(of) your Lordﱞwill you both denyﱟ(75)

Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?

55:76

ﱠRecliningﱡonﱢcushionsﱣgreenﱤand carpetsﱥbeautifulﱦ(76)

All ˹believers˺ will be reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets.

55:77

ﱧSo whichﱨ(of the) favorsﱩ(of) your Lordﱪwill you both denyﱫ(77)

Then which of your Lord’s favours will you both deny?

55:78

ﱬBlessed isﱭ(the) nameﱮ(of) your LordﱯOwnerﱰ(of) Majestyﱱand Honorﱲ(78)

Blessed is the Name of your Lord, full of Majesty and Honour.

56:1

ﱳWhenﱴoccursﱵthe Eventﱶ(1)

When the Inevitable Event takes place,

56:2

ﱷNotﱸat its occurrenceﱹa denialﱺ(2)

then no one can deny it has come.

56:3

ﱻBringing downﱼraising upﱽ(3)

It will debase ˹some˺ and elevate ˹others˺.1

56:4

ﱾWhenﱿwill be shakenﲀthe earthﲁ(with) a shakingﲂ(4)

When the earth will be violently shaken,

56:5

ﲃAnd will be crumbledﲄthe mountainsﲅ(with awful) crumblingﲆ(5)

and the mountains will be crushed to pieces,

56:6

ﲇSo they becomeﲈdust particlesﲉdispersingﲊ(6)

becoming scattered ˹particles of˺ dust,

56:7

ﲋAnd you will becomeﲌkindsﲍthreeﲎ(7)

you will ˹all˺ be ˹divided into˺ three groups:

56:8

ﲏThen (the) companionsﲐ(of) the rightﲑwhatﲒ(are the) companionsﲓ(of) the rightﲔ(8)

the people of the right, how ˹blessed˺ will they be;

56:9

ﲕAnd (the) companionsﲖ(of) the leftﲗwhatﲘ(are the) companionsﲙ(of) the leftﲚ(9)

the people of the left, how ˹miserable˺ will they be;

56:10

ﲛAnd the foremostﲜ(are) the foremostﲝ(10)

and the foremost ˹in faith˺ will be the foremost ˹in Paradise˺.

56:11

ﲞThoseﲟ(are) the nearest onesﲠ(11)

They are the ones nearest ˹to Allah˺,

56:12

ﲡInﲢGardensﲣ(of) Pleasureﲤ(12)

in the Gardens of Bliss.

56:13

ﲥA companyﲦofﲧthe former (people)ﲨ(13)

˹They will be˺ a multitude from earlier generations

56:14

ﲩAnd a fewﲪofﲫthe later (people)ﲬ(14)

and a few from later generations.

56:15

ﲭOnﲮthronesﲯdecoratedﲰ(15)

˹All will be˺ on jewelled thrones,

56:16

ﲱRecliningﲲon themﲳfacing each otherﲴ(16)

reclining face to face.
