67:1

ﱁBlessed isﱂHeﱃin Whose Handﱄ(is) the Dominionﱅand Heﱆ(is) overﱇeveryﱈthingﱉAll-Powerfulﱊ(1)

Blessed is the One in Whose Hands rests all authority. And He is Most Capable of everything.

67:2

ﱋThe One Whoﱌcreatedﱍdeathﱎand lifeﱏthat He may test youﱐwhich of youﱑ(is) bestﱒﱓ(in) deedﱔAnd Heﱕ(is) the All-Mightyﱖthe Oft-Forgivingﱗ(2)

˹He is the One˺ Who created death and life in order to test which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving.

67:3

ﱘThe One Whoﱙcreatedﱚsevenﱛheavensﱜﱝone above anotherﱞNotﱟyou seeﱠinﱡ(the) creationﱢ(of) the Most GraciousﱣanyﱤﱥfaultﱦSo returnﱧthe visionﱨcanﱩyou seeﱪanyﱫflawﱬ(3)

˹He is the One˺ Who created seven heavens, one above the other. You will never see any imperfection in the creation of the Most Compassionate.1 So look again: do you see any flaws?

67:4

ﱭThenﱮreturnﱯthe visionﱰtwice (again)ﱱWill returnﱲto youﱳthe visionﱴhumbledﱵwhile itﱶ(is) fatiguedﱷ(4)

Then look again and again—your sight will return frustrated and weary.

67:5

ﱸAnd certainlyﱹWe have beautifiedﱺthe heavenﱻnearestﱼwith lampsﱽand We have made themﱾ(as) missilesﱿﲀfor the devilsﲁand We have preparedﲂfor themﲃpunishmentﲄ(of) the Blazeﲅ(5)

And indeed, We adorned the lowest heaven with ˹stars like˺ lamps, and made them ˹as missiles˺ for stoning ˹eavesdropping˺ devils, for whom We have also prepared the torment of the Blaze.1

67:6

ﲆAnd for those whoﲇdisbelievedﲈin their Lordﲉ(is the) punishmentﲊﲋ(of) Hellﲌand wretched isﲍthe destinationﲎ(6)

Those who disbelieve in their Lord will suffer the punishment of Hell. What an evil destination!

67:7

ﲏWhenﲐthey are thrownﲑthereinﲒthey will hearﲓfrom itﲔan inhalingﲕwhile itﲖboils upﲗ(7)

When they are tossed into it, they will hear its roaring as it boils over,

67:8

ﲘIt almostﲙburstsﲚfromﲛﲜrageﲝEvery timeﲞis thrownﲟthereinﲠa groupﲡ(will) ask themﲢits keepersﲣDid notﲤcome to youﲥa warnerﲦ(8)

almost bursting in fury. Every time a group is cast into it, its keepers will ask them, “Did a warner not come to you?”

67:9

ﲧThey will sayﲨYesﲩindeedﲪcame to usﲫa warnerﲬbut we deniedﲭand we saidﲮNotﲯhas sent downﲰAllahﲱanyﲲthingﲳNotﲴyou (are)ﲵbutﲶinﲷerrorﲸgreatﲹ(9)

They will reply, “Yes, a warner did come to us, but we denied and said, ‘Allah has revealed nothing. You are extremely astray.’”

67:10

ﲺAnd they will sayﲻIfﲼwe hadﲽlistenedﲾorﲿreasonedﳀnotﳁwe (would) have beenﳂamongﳃ(the) companionsﳄ(of) the Blazeﳅ(10)

And they will lament, “If only we had listened and reasoned, we would not be among the residents of the Blaze!”

67:11

ﳆThen they (will) confessﳇtheir sinsﳈso away withﳉ(the) companionsﳊ(of) the Blazeﳋ(11)

And so they will confess their sins. So away with the residents of the Blaze!

67:12

ﳌIndeedﳍthose whoﳎfearﳏtheir Lordﳐunseenﳑfor themﳒ(is) forgivenessﳓand a rewardﳔgreatﳕ(12)

Indeed, those in awe of their Lord without seeing Him1 will have forgiveness and a mighty reward.
