84:25

ﱁExceptﱂthose whoﱃbelieveﱄand doﱅrighteous deedsﱆFor themﱇ(is) a rewardﱈneverﱉendingﱊ(25)

But those who believe and do good will have a never-ending reward.

85:1

ﱋBy the skyﱌcontainingﱍthe constellationsﱎ(1)

By the sky full of constellations,

85:2

ﱏAnd the DayﱐPromisedﱑ(2)

and the promised Day ˹of Judgment˺,

85:3

ﱒAnd (the) witnessﱓand what is witnessedﱔ(3)

and the witness and what is witnessed!1

85:4

ﱕDestroyed wereﱖ(the) companionsﱗ(of) the pitﱘ(4)

Condemned are the makers of the ditch—

85:5

ﱙ(Of) the fireﱚfullﱛ(of) the fuelﱜ(5)

the fire ˹pit˺, filled with fuel—

85:6

ﱝWhenﱞtheyﱟby itﱠ(were) sittingﱡ(6)

when they sat around it,

85:7

ﱢAnd theyﱣoverﱤwhatﱥthey were doingﱦto the believersﱧwitnessesﱨ(7)

watching what they had ˹ordered to be˺ done to the believers,

85:8

ﱩAnd notﱪthey resentedﱫ[of] themﱬexceptﱭthatﱮthey believedﱯin Allahﱰthe All-Mightyﱱthe Praiseworthyﱲ(8)

who they resented for no reason other than belief in Allah—the Almighty, the Praiseworthy—

85:9

ﱳThe One Whoﱴfor Himﱵ(is) the dominionﱶ(of) the heavensﱷﱸand the earthﱹand Allahﱺonﱻeveryﱼthingﱽ(is) a Witnessﱾ(9)

˹the One˺ to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is a Witness over all things.

85:10

ﱿIndeedﲀthose whoﲁpersecutedﲂthe believing menﲃand the believing womenﲄthenﲅnotﲆthey repentedﲇthen for themﲈ(is the) punishmentﲉ(of) Hellﲊand for themﲋ(is the) punishmentﲌ(of) the Burning Fireﲍ(10)

Those who persecute the believing men and women and then do not repent will certainly suffer the punishment of Hell and the torment of burning.

85:11

ﲎIndeedﲏthose whoﲐbelieveﲑand doﲒthe righteous deedsﲓfor themﲔ(will be) Gardensﲕflowﲖfromﲗunderneath itﲘﲙthe riversﲚThatﲛ(is) the successﲜthe greatﲝ(11)

Surely those who believe and do good will have Gardens under which rivers flow. That is the greatest triumph.

85:12

ﲞIndeedﲟ(the) Gripﲠ(of) your Lordﲡ(is) surely strongﲢ(12)

Indeed, the ˹crushing˺ grip of your Lord is severe.

85:13

ﲣIndeed HeﲤHeﲥoriginatesﲦand repeatsﲧ(13)

˹For˺ He is certainly the One Who originates and resurrects ˹all˺.

85:14

ﲨAnd Heﲩ(is) the Oft-Forgivingﲪthe Most Lovingﲫ(14)

And He is the All-Forgiving, All-Loving—

85:15

ﲬOwner (of)ﲭthe Throneﲮthe Gloriousﲯ(15)

Lord of the Throne, the All-Glorious,

85:16

ﲰDoerﲱof whatﲲHe intendsﲳ(16)

Doer of whatever He wills.

85:17

ﲴHasﲵcome to youﲶ(the) storyﲷ(of) the hostsﲸ(17)

Has the story of the ˹destroyed˺ forces reached you ˹O Prophet˺—

85:18

ﲹFiraunﲺand Thamudﲻ(18)

˹the forces of˺ Pharaoh and Thamûd?

85:19

ﲼNayﲽThose whoﲾdisbelieveﲿ(are) inﳀdenialﳁ(19)

Yet the disbelievers ˹still˺ persist in denial.

85:20

ﳂBut Allahﳃfromﳄbehind themﳅencompassesﳆ(20)

But Allah encompasses them from all sides.

85:21

ﳇNayﳈItﳉ(is) a QuranﳊGloriousﳋ(21)

In fact, this is a glorious Quran,

85:22
