3:84

SayWe believedin Allahand what(is) revealedon usand whatwas revealedonIbrahimand Ishmaeland Isaacand Yaquband the descendentsand whatwas given(to) Musaand Isaand the Prophetsfromtheir LordNotwe make distinctionbetweenanyof themand weto Him(are) submissive(84)

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord—we make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we ˹fully˺ submit.”

3:85

And whoeverseeksother than[the] Islam(as) religionthen neverwill be acceptedfrom himand heinthe Hereafter(will be) fromthe losers(85)

Whoever seeks a way other than Islam,1 it will never be accepted from them, and in the Hereafter they will be among the losers.

3:86

How(shall) guideAllaha people(who) disbelievedaftertheir beliefand (had) witnessedthatthe Messenger(is) trueand came to themﱹﱺthe clear proofsAnd Allah(does) notguidethe peopleﱿ[the] wrongdoers(86)

How will Allah guide a people who chose to disbelieve after they had believed, acknowledged the Messenger to be true, and received clear proofs? For Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

3:87

Those their recompensethaton them(is the) curse(of) Allahand the Angelsand the peopleall together(87)

Their reward is that they will be condemned by Allah, the angels, and all of humanity.

3:88

(They will) abide foreverin itNotwill be lightenedfor themthe punishmentand nottheywill be reprieved(88)

They will be in Hell forever. Their punishment will not be lightened, nor will they be delayed ˹from it˺.

3:89

Exceptthose whorepentfromafterthatand reform[ed] themselvesThen indeedAllah(is) Oft-ForgivingMost Merciful(89)

As for those who repent afterwards and mend their ways, then surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

3:90

Indeedthose whodisbelievedaftertheir beliefthenthey increased(in) disbeliefneverwill be acceptedtheir repentanceand those they(are) those who have gone astray(90)

Indeed, those who disbelieve after having believed then increase in disbelief, their repentance will never be accepted.1 It is they who are astray.

3:91

Indeedthose whodisbelieve[d]and diedwhile they(are) disbelieversthen neverwill be acceptedfromany one of themfullearth(of) gold[and] (even) ifhe offered as ransomﲿﳀitThose for them(is) a punishmentpainfuland not(will be) for themanyhelpers(91)

Indeed, if each of those who disbelieve then die as disbelievers were to offer a ransom of enough gold to fill the whole world, it would never be accepted from them. It is they who will suffer a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers.
