3:187

And whentookAllaha Covenant(from) those whowere giventhe BookYou certainly make it clearto the mankindand (do) notconceal itThen they threw itbehindtheir backsand they exchanged[with] it(for) a priceﱒﱓlittleAnd wretched(is) whatthey purchase(187)

˹Remember, O  Prophet,˺ when Allah took the covenant of those who were given the Scripture to make it known to people and not hide it, yet they cast it behind their backs and traded it for a fleeting gain. What a miserable profit!

3:188

(Do) notthink(that) those whorejoicein what(they have) broughtand they lovethatthey be praisedfor whatnotthey do so (do) notthink (that) they(will) escapefromﱨﱩthe punishmentand for them(is a) punishmentpainful(188)

Do not let those who rejoice in their misdeeds and love to take credit for what they have not done think they will escape torment. They will suffer a painful punishment.

3:189

And for Allah(is the) dominion(of) the heavensﱱﱲand the earthand Allah(is) oneverythingAll-Powerful(189)

To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Most Capable of everything.

3:190

Indeedin(the) creation(of) the heavensand the earthand (in the) alternationﱿ(of) the nightand the day(are) surely Signsfor men(of) understanding(190)

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of reason.

3:191

Those whorememberAllahstandingand sittingand ontheir sidesand they reflecton(the) creation(of) the heavensand the earthOur LordnotYou have createdthis(in) vainGlory be to Youso save us(from the) punishment(of) the Fire(191)

˹They are˺ those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth ˹and pray˺, “Our Lord! You have not created ˹all of˺ this without purpose. Glory be to You! Protect us from the torment of the Fire.

3:192

Our Lordindeed [You]whomYou admit(to) the Firethen surelyﲡﲢYou (have) disgraced himand notfor the wrongdoers(are) anyhelpers(192)

Our Lord! Indeed, those You commit to the Fire will be ˹completely˺ disgraced! And the wrongdoers will have no helpers.

3:193

Our Lordindeed we[we] hearda callercallingto the faiththatBelievein your Lordﲱﲲso we have believedOur Lordso forgivefor usour sinsand removefrom usour evil deedsand cause us to diewiththe righteous(193)

Our Lord! We have heard the caller1 to ˹true˺ belief, ˹proclaiming,˺ ‘Believe in your Lord ˹alone˺,’ so we believed. Our Lord! Forgive our sins, absolve us of our misdeeds, and join us with the virtuous when we die‎.

3:194

Our Lordﲿgrant uswhatYou promised usthroughYour Messengersand (do) notdisgrace us(on the) Dayﳇﳈ(of) [the] ResurrectionIndeed, You(do) notbreakthe promise(194)

Our Lord! Grant us what You have promised us through Your messengers and do not put us to shame on Judgment Day—for certainly You never fail in Your promise.”
