4:114

ﱁ ﱂ(There is) noﱃgoodﱄinﱅmuchﱆofﱇtheir secret talkﱈexceptﱉ(he) whoﱊordersﱋcharityﱌorﱍkindnessﱎorﱏconciliationﱐbetweenﱑﱒthe peopleﱓAnd whoﱔdoesﱕthatﱖseekingﱗpleasureﱘ(of) Allahﱙthen soonﱚWe will give himﱛa rewardﱜgreatﱝ(114)

There is no good in most of their secret talks—except those encouraging charity, kindness, or reconciliation between people. And whoever does this seeking Allah’s pleasure, We will grant them a great reward.

4:115

ﱞAnd whoeverﱟopposesﱠthe Messengerﱡfromﱢafterﱣwhatﱤ(has) become clearﱥto himﱦ(of) the guidanceﱧand he followsﱨother thanﱩ(the) wayﱪ(of) the believersﱫWe will turn himﱬ(to) whatﱭhe (has) turnedﱮand We will burn himﱯﱰ(in) Hellﱱand evil it isﱲ(as) a destinationﱳ(115)

And whoever defies the Messenger after guidance has become clear to them and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will let them pursue what they have chosen, then burn them in Hell—what an evil end!

4:116

ﱴIndeedﱵAllahﱶdoes notﱷforgiveﱸthatﱹpartners be associatedﱺwith Himﱻbut He forgivesﱼ[what]ﱽother thanﱾthatﱿfor whomﲀﲁHe willsﲂAnd whoeverﲃassociates partnersﲄwith Allahﲅthen surelyﲆhe lost (the) wayﲇstrayingﲈfar awayﲉ(116)

Surely Allah does not forgive associating ˹others˺ with Him ˹in worship˺,1 but forgives anything else of whoever He wills. Indeed, whoever associates ˹others˺ with Allah has clearly gone far astray.

4:117

ﲊNotﲋthey invokeﲌfromﲍbesides Himﲎbutﲏfemale (deities)ﲐand notﲑthey invokeﲒexceptﲓShaitaan ﲔrebelliousﲕ(117)

Instead of Allah, they only invoke female gods1 and they ˹actually˺ invoke none but a rebellious Satan—

4:118

ﲖHe was cursedﲗﲘby Allahﲙand he saidﲚI will surely takeﲛfromﲜyour slavesﲝa portionﲞappointedﲟ(118)

cursed by Allah—who said, “I will surely take hold of a certain number of Your servants.

4:119

ﲠAnd I will surely mislead themﲡand surely arouse desires in themﲢand surely I will order themﲣso they will surely cut offﲤ(the) earsﲥ(of) the cattleﲦand surely I will order themﲧso they will surely changeﲨ(the) creationﲩﲪ(of) AllahﲫAnd whoeverﲬtakesﲭthe Shaitaanﲮ(as) a friendﲯfromﲰbesidesﲱAllahﲲthen surelyﲳhe (has) lost ﲴa lossﲵmanifestﲶ(119)

I will certainly mislead them and delude them with empty hopes. Also, I will order them and they will slit the ears of cattle1 and alter Allah’s creation.” And whoever takes Satan as a guardian instead of Allah has certainly suffered a tremendous loss.

4:120

ﲷHe promises themﲸﲹand arouses desires in themﲺand notﲻpromises themﲼthe Shaitaan ﲽexceptﲾdeceptionﲿ(120)

Satan only makes them ˹false˺ promises and deludes them with ˹empty˺ hopes. Truly Satan promises them nothing but delusion.

4:121

ﳀThose ﳁtheir abodeﳂ(is) Hellﳃand notﳄthey will findﳅfrom itﳆany escapeﳇ(121)

It is they who will have Hell as their home, and they will find no escape from it!
