6:82

ﱁThose whoﱂbelievedﱃand (did) notﱄmixﱅtheir beliefﱆwith wrongﱇthoseﱈfor themﱉ(is) the securityﱊand theyﱋ(are) rightly guidedﱌ(82)

It is ˹only˺ those who are faithful and do not tarnish their faith with falsehood1 who are guaranteed security and are ˹rightly˺ guided.

6:83

ﱍAnd thisﱎ(is) Our argumentﱏWe gave itﱐ(to) Ibrahimﱑagainstﱒﱓhis peopleﱔWe raiseﱕ(by) degreesﱖwhomﱗﱘWe willﱙIndeedﱚyour Lordﱛ(is) All-WiseﱜAll-Knowingﱝ(83)

This was the argument We gave Abraham against his people. We elevate in rank whoever We please. Surely your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

6:84

ﱞAnd We bestowedﱟto himﱠIsaacﱡﱢand YaqubﱣallﱤﱥWe guidedﱦAnd NuhﱧWe guidedﱨfromﱩﱪbeforeﱫand ofﱬhis descendentsﱭDawoodﱮand Sulaimanﱯand Ayyubﱰand Yusufﱱand Musaﱲﱳand HarunﱴAnd thusﱵWe rewardﱶthe good-doersﱷ(84)

And We blessed him with Isaac and Jacob. We guided them all as We previously guided Noah and those among his descendants: David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron. This is how We reward the good-doers.

6:85

ﱸAnd Zakariyaﱹand Yahyaﱺand Isaﱻﱼand Elijah ﱽall (were)ﱾofﱿthe righteousﲀ(85)

Likewise, ˹We guided˺ Zachariah, John, Jesus, and Elias, who were all of the righteous.

6:86

ﲁAnd Ishmaelﲂand Elishaﲃand Yunusﲄﲅand Lutﲆand allﲇWe preferredﲈoverﲉthe worldsﲊ(86)

˹We also guided˺ Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot, favouring each over other people ˹of their time˺.

6:87

ﲋAnd fromﲌtheir fathersﲍand their descendentsﲎﲏand their brothers ﲐand We chose themﲑand We guided themﲒtoﲓa pathﲔstraightﲕ(87)

And ˹We favoured˺ some of their forefathers, their descendants, and their brothers. We chose them and guided them to the Straight Path.

6:88

ﲖThatﲗ(is the) Guidanceﲘ(of) AllahﲙHe guidesﲚwith itﲛwhomﲜHe willsﲝofﲞﲟHis slavesﲠBut ifﲡthey (had) associated partners (with Allah)ﲢsurely (would be) worthlessﲣfor themﲤwhatﲥthey used toﲦdoﲧ(88)

This is Allah’s guidance with which He guides whoever He wills of His servants. Had they associated others with Him ˹in worship˺, their ˹good˺ deeds would have been wasted.

6:89

ﲨThose ﲩ(are) ones whomﲪWe gave themﲫthe Bookﲬand the judgmentﲭﲮand the ProphethoodﲯBut ifﲰdisbelieveﲱin itﲲtheseﲳthen indeedﲴWe have entrustedﲵitﲶ(to) a peopleﲷwho are notﲸthereinﲹdisbelieversﲺ(89)

Those were the ones to whom We gave the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood. But if these ˹pagans˺ disbelieve in this ˹message˺, then We have already entrusted it to a people who will never disbelieve in it.1

6:90

ﲻThoseﲼ(are) ones whomﲽ(have been) guidedﲾﲿ(by) Allahﳀso of their guidanceﳁﳂyou followﳃSayﳄNotﳅI ask youﳆfor itﳇﳈany rewardﳉNotﳊ(is) itﳋbutﳌa reminderﳍfor the worldsﳎ(90)

These ˹prophets˺ were ˹rightly˺ guided by Allah, so follow their guidance. Say, “I ask no reward of you for this ˹Quran˺—it is a reminder to the whole world.”
