ﱁObligatedﱂonﱃthatﱄnotﱅI sayﱆaboutﱇAllahﱈexceptﱉﱊthe truthﱋVerilyﱌI (have) come to youﱍwith a clear Signﱎfromﱏyour Lordﱐso sendﱑwith meﱒ(the) Childrenﱓ(of) Israelﱔ
obliged to say nothing about Allah except the truth. Indeed, I have come to you with clear proof from your Lord, so let the children of Israel go with me.”

ﱕHe saidﱖIfﱗyou haveﱘcomeﱙwith a Signﱚthen bringﱛitﱜifﱝyou areﱞofﱟthe truthfulﱠ
Pharaoh said, “If you have come with a sign, then bring it if what you say is true.”

ﱡSo he threwﱢhis staffﱣand suddenlyﱤitﱥ(was) a serpentﱦmanifestﱧ
So Moses threw down his staff and—behold!—it became a real snake.

ﱨAnd he drew outﱩhis handﱪand suddenlyﱫitﱬ(was) whiteﱭfor the observersﱮ
Then he drew his hand ˹out of his collar˺ and it was ˹shining˺ white for all to see.

ﱯSaidﱰthe chiefsﱱofﱲ(the) peopleﱳ(of) FiraunﱴIndeedﱵthisﱶ(is) surely a magician ﱷlearnedﱸ
The chiefs of Pharaoh’s people said, “He is indeed a skilled magician,

ﱹHe wantsﱺtoﱻdrive you outﱼfromﱽﱾyour landﱿso whatﲀ(do) you instructﲁ
who seeks to drive you from your land.” ˹So Pharaoh asked,˺ “What do you propose?”

ﲂThey saidﲃPostpone himﲄand his brotherﲅand sendﲆinﲇthe citiesﲈgatherersﲉ
They replied, “Let him and his brother wait and send mobilizers to all cities

ﲊThey (will) bring to youﲋ[with] everyﲌmagicianﲍlearnedﲎ
to bring you every clever magician.”

ﲏSo cameﲐthe magiciansﲑ(to) FiraunﲒThey saidﲓIndeedﲔfor usﲕsurely (will be) a rewardﲖifﲗwe areﲘ[we]ﲙthe victorsﲚ
The magicians came to Pharaoh, saying, “Shall we receive a ˹suitable˺ reward if we prevail?”

ﲛHe saidﲜYesﲝand indeed youﲞsurely (will be) ofﲟthe ones who are nearﲠ
He replied, “Yes, and you will certainly be among those closest to me.”

ﲡThey saidﲢO MusaﲣWhetherﲤ[that]ﲥyou throwﲦor Whetherﲧ[that]ﲨwe will beﲩ[we]ﲪthe ones to throwﲫ
They asked, “O Moses! Will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast?”

ﲬHe saidﲭﲮThrowﲯThen whenﲰthey threwﲱthey bewitchedﲲ(the) eyesﲳ(of) the peopleﲴand terrified themﲵand came (up)ﲶwith a magicﲷgreatﲸ
Moses said, “You first.” So when they did, they deceived the eyes of the people, stunned them, and made a great display of magic.

ﲹ ﲺAnd We inspiredﲻtoﲼMusaﲽthatﲾThrowﲿﳀyour staffﳁand suddenlyﳂitﳃswallow(ed)ﳄwhatﳅthey (were) falsifyingﳆ
Then We inspired Moses, “Throw down your staff,” and—behold!—it devoured the objects of their illusion!

ﳇSo was establishedﳈthe truthﳉand became futileﳊwhatﳋthey used toﳌdoﳍ
So the truth prevailed and their illusions failed.

ﳎSo they were defeatedﳏthereﳐand returnedﳑhumiliatedﳒ
So Pharaoh and his people were defeated right there and put to shame.

ﳓAnd fell downﳔthe magiciansﳕprostrateﳖ
And the magicians fell down, prostrating.
