7:105
ﱁObligatedﱂonﱃthatﱄnotﱅI sayﱆaboutﱇAllahﱈexceptﱉﱊthe truthﱋVerilyﱌI (have) come to youﱍwith a clear Signﱎfromﱏyour Lordﱐso sendﱑwith meﱒ(the) Childrenﱓ(of) Israelﱔ(105)
obliged to say nothing about Allah except the truth. Indeed, I have come to you with clear proof from your Lord, so let the children of Israel go with me.”
7:106
ﱕHe saidﱖIfﱗyou haveﱘcomeﱙwith a Signﱚthen bringﱛitﱜifﱝyou areﱞofﱟthe truthfulﱠ(106)
Pharaoh said, “If you have come with a sign, then bring it if what you say is true.”
7:107
ﱡSo he threwﱢhis staffﱣand suddenlyﱤitﱥ(was) a serpentﱦmanifestﱧ(107)
So Moses threw down his staff and—behold!—it became a real snake.
7:108
ﱨAnd he drew outﱩhis handﱪand suddenlyﱫitﱬ(was) whiteﱭfor the observersﱮ(108)
Then he drew his hand ˹out of his collar˺ and it was ˹shining˺ white for all to see.
7:109
ﱯSaidﱰthe chiefsﱱofﱲ(the) peopleﱳ(of) FiraunﱴIndeedﱵthisﱶ(is) surely a magician ﱷlearnedﱸ(109)
The chiefs of Pharaoh’s people said, “He is indeed a skilled magician,
7:110
ﱹHe wantsﱺtoﱻdrive you outﱼfromﱽﱾyour landﱿso whatﲀ(do) you instructﲁ(110)
who seeks to drive you from your land.” ˹So Pharaoh asked,˺ “What do you propose?”
7:111
ﲂThey saidﲃPostpone himﲄand his brotherﲅand sendﲆinﲇthe citiesﲈgatherersﲉ(111)
They replied, “Let him and his brother wait and send mobilizers to all cities
7:112
ﲊThey (will) bring to youﲋ[with] everyﲌmagicianﲍlearnedﲎ(112)
to bring you every clever magician.”
7:113
ﲏSo cameﲐthe magiciansﲑ(to) FiraunﲒThey saidﲓIndeedﲔfor usﲕsurely (will be) a rewardﲖifﲗwe areﲘ[we]ﲙthe victorsﲚ(113)
The magicians came to Pharaoh, saying, “Shall we receive a ˹suitable˺ reward if we prevail?”
7:114
ﲛHe saidﲜYesﲝand indeed youﲞsurely (will be) ofﲟthe ones who are nearﲠ(114)
He replied, “Yes, and you will certainly be among those closest to me.”
7:115
ﲡThey saidﲢO MusaﲣWhetherﲤ[that]ﲥyou throwﲦor Whetherﲧ[that]ﲨwe will beﲩ[we]ﲪthe ones to throwﲫ(115)
They asked, “O Moses! Will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast?”
7:116
ﲬHe saidﲭﲮThrowﲯThen whenﲰthey threwﲱthey bewitchedﲲ(the) eyesﲳ(of) the peopleﲴand terrified themﲵand came (up)ﲶwith a magicﲷgreatﲸ(116)
Moses said, “You first.” So when they did, they deceived the eyes of the people, stunned them, and made a great display of magic.
7:117
ﲹ ﲺAnd We inspiredﲻtoﲼMusaﲽthatﲾThrowﲿﳀyour staffﳁand suddenlyﳂitﳃswallow(ed)ﳄwhatﳅthey (were) falsifyingﳆ(117)
Then We inspired Moses, “Throw down your staff,” and—behold!—it devoured the objects of their illusion!
7:118
ﳇSo was establishedﳈthe truthﳉand became futileﳊwhatﳋthey used toﳌdoﳍ(118)
So the truth prevailed and their illusions failed.
7:119
ﳎSo they were defeatedﳏthereﳐand returnedﳑhumiliatedﳒ(119)
So Pharaoh and his people were defeated right there and put to shame.
7:120
ﳓAnd fell downﳔthe magiciansﳕprostrateﳖ(120)
And the magicians fell down, prostrating.
