9:32

ﱁThey wantﱂtoﱃextinguishﱄAllah's lightﱅAllah's lightﱆwith their mouthsﱇbut Allah refusesﱈbut Allah refusesﱉexceptﱊtoﱋperfectﱌHis Lightﱍeven ifﱎthe disbelievers dislike (it)ﱏthe disbelievers dislike (it)ﱐ(32)

They wish to extinguish Allah’s light1 with their mouths, but Allah will only allow His light to be perfected, even to the dismay of the disbelievers.

9:33

ﱑHeﱒ(is) the One Whoﱓhas sentﱔHis Messengerﱕwith the guidanceﱖand the religionﱗ(of) [the] truthﱘto manifest itﱙoverﱚall religionsﱛall religionsﱜEven ifﱝdislike (it)ﱞthe polytheistsﱟ(33)

He is the One Who has sent His Messenger with ˹true˺ guidance and the religion of truth, making it prevail over all others, even to the dismay of the polytheists.

9:34

ﱠ ﱡO you who believeﱢO you who believeﱣO you who believeﱤIndeedﱥmanyﱦofﱧthe rabbisﱨand the monksﱩsurely eatﱪ(the) wealthﱫ(of) the peopleﱬin falsehoodﱭand hinderﱮfromﱯ(the) wayﱰﱱ(of) AllahﱲAnd those whoﱳhoardﱴthe goldﱵand the silverﱶand (do) notﱷspend itﱸinﱹ(the) wayﱺ(of) Allahﱻ[so] give them tidingsﱼof a punishmentﱽpainfulﱾ(34)

O believers! Indeed, many rabbis and monks consume people’s wealth wrongfully and hinder ˹others˺ from the Way of Allah. Give good news of a painful torment to those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah’s cause.

9:35

ﱿ(The) Dayﲀit will be heated [on it]ﲁit will be heated [on it]ﲂinﲃthe Fireﲄ(of) Hellﲅand will be brandedﲆwith itﲇtheir foreheadsﲈand their flanksﲉﲊand their backsﲋThisﲌ(is) whatﲍyou hoardedﲎfor yourselvesﲏso tasteﲐwhatﲑyou used toﲒhoardﲓ(35)

The Day ˹will come˺ when their treasure will be heated up in the Fire of Hell, and their foreheads, sides, and backs branded with it. ˹It will be said to them,˺ “This is the treasure you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste what you hoarded!”

9:36

ﲔIndeedﲕ(the) numberﲖ(of) the monthsﲗwithﲘAllahﲙ(is) twelveﲚ(is) twelveﲛmonthsﲜinﲝ(the) ordinanceﲞ(of) Allahﲟ(from the) DayﲠHe createdﲡthe heavensﲢand the earthﲣof themﲤfourﲥﲦ(are) sacredﲧThatﲨ(is) the religionﲩﲪthe uprightﲫso (do) notﲬwrongﲭthereinﲮﲯyourselvesﲰAnd fightﲱthe polytheistsﲲall togetherﲳasﲴthey fight youﲵﲶall togetherﲷAnd knowﲸthatﲹAllahﲺ(is) withﲻthe righteousﲼ(36)

Indeed, the number of months ordained by Allah is twelve—in Allah’s Record1 since the day He created the heavens and the earth—of which four are sacred. That is the Right Way. So do not wrong one another during these months. And fight the polytheists together as they fight together against you. And know that Allah is with those mindful ˹of Him˺.
