9:69

ﱁLike thoseﱂbefore youﱃbefore youﱄthey wereﱅmightierﱆthan youﱇ(in) strengthﱈand more abundantﱉ(in) wealthﱊand childrenﱋSo they enjoyedﱌtheir portionﱍand you have enjoyedﱎyour portionﱏlikeﱐenjoyedﱑthoseﱒbefore youﱓbefore youﱔtheir portionﱕand you indulgeﱖlike the one whoﱗﱘindulges (in idle talk)ﱙThoseﱚworthlessﱛ(are) their deedsﱜinﱝthe worldﱞﱟand (in) the HereafterﱠAnd thoseﱡtheyﱢ(are) the losersﱣ(69)

˹You hypocrites are˺ like those ˹disbelievers˺ before you. They were far superior to you in might and more abundant in wealth and children. They enjoyed their share in this life. You have enjoyed your share, just as they did. And you have engaged in idle talk, just as they did. Their deeds have become void in this world and the Hereafter. And it is they who are the ˹true˺ losers.

9:70

ﱤHas notﱥcome to themﱦ(the) newsﱧ(of) those whoﱨ(were) before themﱩ(were) before themﱪ(the) peopleﱫ(of) Nuhﱬand Aadﱭand Thamudﱮand (the) peopleﱯ(of) Ibrahimﱰand (the) companionsﱱ(of) Madyanﱲﱳand the towns overturnedﱴCame to themﱵtheir Messengersﱶﱷwith clear proofsﱸAnd notﱹwasﱺAllahﱻto wrong themﱼbutﱽthey were (to)ﱾthemselvesﱿdoing wrongﲀ(70)

Have they not received the stories of those ˹destroyed˺ before them: the people of Noah, ’Âd, and Thamûd, the people of Abraham, the residents of Midian, and the overturned cities ˹of Lot˺?1 Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. Allah would have never wronged them, but it was they who wronged themselves.

9:71

ﲁAnd the believing menﲂand the believing womenﲃsome of themﲄ(are) alliesﲅﲆ(of) othersﲇThey enjoinﲈthe rightﲉand forbidﲊfromﲋthe wrongﲌand they establishﲍthe prayerﲎand giveﲏthe zakahﲐand they obeyﲑAllahﲒﲓand His MessengerﲔThoseﲕAllah will have mercy on themﲖﲗAllah will have mercy on themﲘIndeedﲙAllahﲚ(is) All-MightyﲛAll-Wiseﲜ(71)

The believers, both men and women, are guardians of one another. They encourage good and forbid evil, establish prayer and pay alms-tax, and obey Allah and His Messenger. It is they who will be shown Allah’s mercy. Surely Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.

9:72

ﲝ(Has been) promisedﲞ(by) Allahﲟ(to) the believing menﲠand the believing womenﲡGardensﲢflowﲣfromﲤunderneath itﲥthe riversﲦ(will) abide foreverﲧin itﲨand dwellingsﲩblessedﲪinﲫGardensﲬﲭ(of) everlasting blissﲮBut the pleasureﲯofﲰAllahﲱﲲ(is) greaterﲳThatﲴitﲵ(is) the successﲶgreatﲷ(72)

Allah has promised the believers, both men and women, Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there forever, and splendid homes in the Gardens of Eternity, and—above all—the pleasure of Allah. That is ˹truly˺ the ultimate triumph.
