11:20

Thosenotwill be(able to) escapeinthe earthand notisfor thembesidesbesidesAllahanyﱎﱏprotectorsAnd will be doubledfor themﱒﱓthe punishmentNotthey wereable(to) hearand notthey used (to)see(20)

They will never frustrate Allah on earth, and they will have no protector besides Allah. Their punishment will be multiplied, for they failed to hear or see ˹the truth˺.

11:21

Those(are) the ones who(have) losttheir soulsand lostfrom them(is) whatthey used(to) invent(21)

It is they who have ruined themselves, and whatever ˹gods˺ they fabricated will fail them.

11:22

Nodoubtthat theyinthe Hereafter[they](will be) the greatest losers(22)

Without a doubt, they will be the worst losers in the Hereafter.

11:23

Indeedthose whobelieveand dogood deedsand humble themselvesbeforetheir Lordthose(are the) companionsﱸﱹ(of) Paradisetheyin it(will) abide forever(23)

Surely those who believe, do good, and humble themselves before their Lord will be the residents of Paradise. They will be there forever.

11:24

ﱾ ﱿ(The) example(of) the two parties(is) like the blindand the deafand the seerﲄﲅand the hearerArethey equalﲈﲉ(in) comparisonThen, will notyou take heed(24)

The example of these two parties is that of the blind and the deaf, compared to the seeing and the hearing. Can the two be equal? Will you not then be mindful?

11:25

And verilyWe sentNuhtohis peopleIndeed, I amto youa warnerclear(25)

Surely We sent Noah to his people. ˹He said,˺ “Indeed, I am sent to you with a clear warning

11:26

That(do) notworshipexceptﲛﲜAllahIndeed, I[I] fearfor you(the) punishment(of) a Daypainful(26)

that you should worship none but Allah. I truly fear for you the torment of a painful Day.”

11:27

So saidthe chiefs(of) those whodisbelievedfromhis peopleNotwe see youbuta manlike usand notwe see youfollowed [you]exceptthose who[they](are) the lowest of usimmature in opinionimmature in opinionAnd notwe seein youover usanymeritnayﲿwe think you(are) liars(27)

The disbelieving chiefs of his people said, “We see you only as a human being like ourselves, and we see that no one follows you except the lowliest among us, who do so ˹hastily˺ without thinking.1 We do not see anything that makes ˹all of˺ you any better than us. In fact, we think you are liars.”

11:28

He saidO my peopleDo you seeifI wason(the) clear prooffrommy Lordwhile He has given memercyfromHimselfbut (it) has been obscuredfrom youshould We compel you (to accept) itwhile you (are)averse to itaverse to it(28)

He said, “O my people! Consider if I stand on a clear proof from my Lord and He has blessed me with a mercy from Himself,1 which you fail to see. Should we ˹then˺ force it on you against your will?
