2:164

ﱁIndeedﱂinﱃ(the) creationﱄ(of) the heavensﱅand the earthﱆand alternationﱇof the nightﱈand the dayﱉand the shipsﱊwhichﱋsailﱌinﱍthe seaﱎwith whatﱏbenefitsﱐ[the] peopleﱑand whatﱒ(has) sent downﱓAllahﱔfromﱕthe skyﱖ[of]ﱗwaterﱘgiving lifeﱙtherebyﱚ(to) the earthﱛafterﱜits deathﱝand dispersingﱞthereinﱟ[of]ﱠeveryﱡmoving creatureﱢand directingﱣ(of) the windsﱤand the cloudsﱥ[the] controlledﱦbetweenﱧthe skyﱨand the earthﱩsurely (are) Signsﱪfor a peopleﱫwho use their intellectﱬ(164)

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth; the alternation of the day and the night; the ships that sail the sea for the benefit of humanity; the rain sent down by Allah from the skies, reviving the earth after its death; the scattering of all kinds of creatures throughout; the shifting of the winds; and the clouds drifting between the heavens and the earth—˹in all of this˺ are surely signs for people of understanding.

2:165

ﱭAnd amongﱮthe mankindﱯwhoﱰtakesﱱfromﱲbesidesﱳAllahﱴequalsﱵThey love themﱶas (they should) loveﱷﱸAllahﱹAnd those whoﱺbelieve[d]ﱻ(are) strongerﱼ(in) loveﱽﱾfor AllahﱿAnd ifﲀwould seeﲁthose whoﲂwrongedﲃwhenﲄthey will seeﲅthe punishmentﲆthatﲇthe powerﲈ(belongs) to Allahﲉallﲊand [that]ﲋAllahﲌ(is) severeﲍ(in) [the] punishmentﲎ(165)

Still there are some who take others as Allah’s equal—they love them as they should love Allah—but the ˹true˺ believers love Allah even more. If only the wrongdoers could see the ˹horrible˺ punishment ˹awaiting them˺, they would certainly realize that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is indeed severe in punishment.

2:166

ﲏWhenﲐwill disownﲑthose whoﲒwere followedﲓ[from]ﲔthose whoﲕfollowedﲖand they will seeﲗthe punishmentﲘ[and] will be cut offﲙfor themﲚthe relationsﲛ(166)

˹Consider the Day˺ when those who misled others will disown their followers—when they face the torment—and the bonds that united them will be cut off.

2:167

ﲜAnd saidﲝthose whoﲞfollowedﲟ(Only) ifﲠ[that]ﲡfor usﲢa returnﲣthen we will disownﲤ[from] themﲥasﲦthey disownﲧﲨ[from] usﲩThusﲪwill show themﲫAllahﲬtheir deedsﲭ(as) regretsﲮﲯfor themﲰAnd notﲱtheyﲲwill come outﲳfromﲴthe Fireﲵ(167)

The ˹misled˺ followers will cry, “If only we could have a second chance, we would disown them as they disowned us.” And so Allah will make them remorseful of their misdeeds. And they will never ˹be able to˺ leave the Fire.

2:168

ﲶOﲷmankindﲸEatﲹof whatﲺ(is) inﲻthe earthﲼlawfulﲽ(and) goodﲾAnd (do) notﲿfollowﳀ(the) footsteps (of)ﳁﳂthe ShaitaanﳃIndeed, heﳄ(is) to youﳅan enemyﳆclearﳇ(168)

O humanity! Eat from what is lawful and good on the earth and do not follow Satan’s footsteps. He is truly your sworn enemy.

2:169

ﳈOnlyﳉhe commands youﳊto (do) the evilﳋand the shamefulﳌand thatﳍyou sayﳎaboutﳏAllahﳐwhatﳑnotﳒyou knowﳓ(169)

He only incites you to commit evil and indecency, and to claim against Allah what you do not know.
