19:39

ﱁAnd warn themﱂ(of the) Dayﱃ(of) the Regretﱄwhenﱅhas been decidedﱆthe matterﱇAnd theyﱈ(are) inﱉheedlessnessﱊand theyﱋ(do) notﱌbelieveﱍ(39)

And warn them ˹O Prophet˺ of the Day of Regret, when all matters will be settled, while they are ˹engrossed˺ in heedlessness and disbelief.

19:40

ﱎIndeed, Weﱏ[We]ﱐ[We] will inheritﱑthe earthﱒand whoeverﱓ(is) on itﱔand to Usﱕthey will be returnedﱖ(40)

Indeed, it is We Who will succeed the earth and whoever is on it. And to Us they will ˹all˺ be returned.

19:41

ﱗAnd mentionﱘinﱙthe BookﱚﱛIbrahimﱜIndeed, heﱝwasﱞa man of truthﱟa Prophetﱠ(41)

And mention in the Book ˹O Prophet, the story of˺ Abraham. He was surely a man of truth and a prophet.

19:42

ﱡWhenﱢhe saidﱣto his fatherﱤO my fatherﱥWhyﱦ(do) you worshipﱧthat whichﱨnotﱩhearsﱪand notﱫseesﱬand notﱭbenefitsﱮ[to] youﱯ(in) anythingﱰ(42)

˹Remember˺ when he said to his father, “O dear father! Why do you worship what can neither hear nor see, nor benefit you at all?

19:43

ﱱO my fatherﱲIndeed, [I]ﱳverilyﱴ(has) come to meﱵofﱶthe knowledgeﱷwhatﱸnotﱹcame to youﱺso follow meﱻI will guide youﱼ(to) the pathﱽevenﱾ(43)

O  dear father! I have certainly received some knowledge which you have not received, so follow me and I will guide you to the Straight Path.

19:44

ﱿO my fatherﲀ(Do) notﲁworshipﲂﲃthe ShaitaanﲄIndeedﲅthe Shaitaanﲆisﲇto the Most Graciousﲈdisobedientﲉ(44)

O  dear father! Do not worship Satan. Surely Satan is ever rebellious against the Most Compassionate.

19:45

ﲊO my fatherﲋIndeed, Iﲌ[I] fearﲍthatﲎwill touch youﲏa punishmentﲐfromﲑthe Most Graciousﲒso you would beﲓto the Shaitaanﲔa friendﲕ(45)

O  dear father! I truly fear that you will be touched by a torment from the Most Compassionate, and become Satan’s companion ˹in Hell˺.”

19:46

ﲖHe saidﲗDo you hateﲘDo you hateﲙ(from)ﲚmy godsﲛﲜO IbrahimﲝSurely, ifﲞnotﲟyou desistﲠﲡsurely, I will stone youﲢso leave meﲣ(for) a prolonged timeﲤ(46)

He threatened, “How dare you reject my idols, O  Abraham! If you do not desist, I will certainly stone you ˹to death˺. So be gone from me for a long time!”

19:47

ﲥHe saidﲦPeace (be)ﲧﲨon youﲩI will ask forgivenessﲪfor youﲫﲬ(from) my LordﲭIndeed, Heﲮisﲯto meﲰEver Graciousﲱ(47)

Abraham responded, “Peace be upon you! I will pray to my Lord for your forgiveness. He has truly been Most Gracious to me.

19:48

ﲲAnd I will leave youﲳand whatﲴyou invokeﲵbesidesﲶbesidesﲷAllahﲸand I will invokeﲹmy LordﲺMay beﲻthat notﲼI will beﲽin invocationﲾ(to) my Lordﲿunblessedﳀ(48)

As I distance myself from ˹all of˺ you and from whatever you invoke besides Allah, I will ˹continue to˺ call upon my Lord ˹alone˺, trusting that I will never be disappointed in invoking my Lord.”

19:49

ﳁSo whenﳂhe left themﳃand whatﳄthey worshippedﳅbesides Allahﳆbesides Allahﳇbesides Allahﳈ[and] We bestowedﳉ[to] himﳊIsaacﳋﳌand Yaqubﳍand each (of them)ﳎWe madeﳏa Prophetﳐ(49)

So after he had left them and what they worshipped besides Allah, We granted him Isaac and Jacob, and made each of them a prophet.

19:50

ﳑAnd We bestowedﳒto themﳓofﳔOur Mercyﳕand We madeﳖfor themﳗa truthful mentionﳘa truthful mentionﳙhighﳚ(50)

We showered them with Our mercy, and blessed them with honourable mention.1

19:51

ﳛAnd mentionﳜinﳝthe BookﳞﳟMusaﳠIndeed, heﳡwasﳢchosenﳣand wasﳤa Messengerﳥa Prophetﳦ(51)

And mention in the Book ˹O Prophet, the story of˺ Moses. He was truly a chosen man, and was a messenger and a prophet.
