22:16

ﱁAnd thusﱂWe sent it downﱃ(as) clear Versesﱄ(as) clear Versesﱅand thatﱆAllahﱇguidesﱈwhomﱉHe intendsﱊ(16)

And so We revealed this ˹Quran˺ as clear verses. And Allah certainly guides whoever He wills.

22:17

ﱋIndeedﱌthose whoﱍhave believedﱎand those whoﱏwere Jewsﱐand the Sabiansﱑand the Christiansﱒand the Magiansﱓand those whoﱔ(are) polytheistsﱕindeedﱖAllahﱗwill judgeﱘbetween themﱙ(on) the Dayﱚﱛ(of) the ResurrectionﱜIndeedﱝAllahﱞoverﱟeveryﱠthingﱡ(is) a Witnessﱢ(17)

Indeed, the believers, Jews, Sabians,1 Christians, Magi,2 and the polytheists—Allah will judge between them ˹all˺ on Judgment Day. Surely Allah is a Witness over all things.

22:18

ﱣDo notﱤyou seeﱥthatﱦ(to) Allahﱧﱨprostratesﱩﱪto Himﱫwhoeverﱬ(is) inﱭthe heavensﱮand whoeverﱯ(is) inﱰthe earthﱱand the sunﱲand the moonﱳand the starsﱴand the mountainsﱵand the treesﱶand the moving creaturesﱷand manyﱸofﱹﱺthe peopleﱻBut many ﱼ(is) justly dueﱽon himﱾﱿthe punishmentﲀAnd whoeverﲁAllah humiliatesﲂAllah humiliatesﲃthen notﲄfor himﲅanyﲆﲇbestower of honorﲈIndeedﲉAllahﲊdoesﲋwhatﲌﲍHe willsﲎ(18)

Do you not see that to Allah bow down ˹in submission˺1 all those in the heavens and all those on the earth, as well as the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, and ˹all˺ living beings, as well as many humans, while many are deserving of punishment. And whoever Allah disgraces, none can honour. Surely Allah does what He wills.

22:19

ﲏ ﲐThese twoﲑopponentsﲒdisputeﲓconcerningﲔﲕtheir LordﲖBut those whoﲗdisbelievedﲘwill be cut outﲙfor themﲚgarmentsﲛofﲜfireﲝWill be pouredﲞoverﲟoverﲠtheir headsﲡ[the] scalding waterﲢ(19)

These are two opposing groups that disagree about their Lord: as for the disbelievers, garments of Fire will be cut out for them and boiling water will be poured over their heads,

22:20

ﲣWill be meltedﲤwith itﲥwhatﲦ(is) inﲧtheir belliesﲨand the skinsﲩ(20)

melting whatever is in their bellies, along with their skin.

22:21

ﲪAnd for themﲫ(are) hooked rodsﲬofﲭironﲮ(21)

And awaiting them are maces of iron.

22:22

ﲯEvery timeﲰthey wantﲱtoﲲcome outﲳfrom itﲴfromﲵanguishﲶthey will be returnedﲷthereinﲸTasteﲹ(the) punishmentﲺ(of) the Burning Fireﲻ(22)

Whenever they try to escape from Hell—out of anguish—they will be forced back into it, ˹and will be told,˺ “Taste the torment of burning!”

22:23

ﲼIndeedﲽAllahﲾwill admitﲿthose whoﳀbelieveﳁand doﳂthe righteous deedsﳃ(to) Gardensﳄflowﳅfromﳆunderneath itﳇthe riversﳈThey will be adornedﳉthereinﳊwithﳋbraceletsﳌofﳍgoldﳎﳏand pearlﳐand their garmentsﳑthereinﳒ(will be of) silkﳓ(23)

˹But˺ Allah will surely admit those who believe and do good into Gardens, under which rivers flow, where they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their clothing will be silk,
