24:21

ﱁ ﱂO you who believeﱃO you who believeﱄO you who believeﱅ(Do) notﱆfollowﱇ(the) footstepsﱈﱉ(of) the Shaitaanﱊand whoeverﱋfollowsﱌ(the) footstepsﱍ(of) the Shaitaanﱎthen indeed, heﱏcommandsﱐthe immoralityﱑﱒand the evilﱓAnd if notﱔ(for the) Grace of Allahﱕ(for the) Grace of Allahﱖupon youﱗand His Mercyﱘnotﱙ(would) have been pureﱚamong youﱛanyoneﱜanyoneﱝeverﱞbutﱟAllahﱠpurifiesﱡwhomﱢﱣHe willsﱤAnd Allahﱥ(is) All-HearerﱦAll-Knowerﱧ(21)

O believers! Do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Whoever follows Satan’s footsteps, then ˹let them know that˺ he surely bids ˹all to˺ immorality and wickedness. Had it not been for Allah’s grace and mercy upon you, none of you would have ever been purified. But Allah purifies whoever He wills. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

24:22

ﱨAnd notﱩlet swearﱪthose of virtueﱫthose of virtueﱬamong youﱭand the amplitude of meansﱮthatﱯthey giveﱰ(to) the near of kinﱱ(to) the near of kinﱲand the needyﱳand the emigrantsﱴinﱵ(the) wayﱶﱷ(of) AllahﱸAnd let them pardonﱹﱺand let them overlookﱻ(Do) notﱼyou likeﱽthatﱾAllah should forgiveﱿAllah should forgiveﲀﲁyouﲂAnd Allahﲃ(is) Oft-ForgivingﲄMost Mercifulﲅ(22)

Do not let the people of virtue and affluence among you swear to suspend donations to their relatives, the needy, and the emigrants in the cause of Allah. Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love to be forgiven by Allah? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.1

24:23

ﲆIndeedﲇthose whoﲈaccuseﲉthe chaste womenﲊthe unaware womenﲋ(and) the believing womenﲌare cursedﲍinﲎthe worldﲏand the HereafterﲐAnd for themﲑ(is) a punishmentﲒgreatﲓ(23)

Surely those who accuse chaste, unsuspecting,1 believing women are cursed in this life and the Hereafter. And they will suffer a tremendous punishment

24:24

ﲔ(On a) Dayﲕwill bear witnessﲖagainst themﲗtheir tonguesﲘand their handsﲙand their feetﲚfor whatﲛthey usedﲜ(to) doﲝ(24)

on the Day their tongues, hands, and feet will testify against them for what they used to do.

24:25

ﲞThat DayﲟAllah will pay them in fullﲠAllah will pay them in fullﲡtheir recompenseﲢthe dueﲣand they will knowﲤthatﲥAllahﲦHeﲧ(is) the Truthﲨthe Manifestﲩ(25)

On that Day, Allah will give them their just penalty in full, and they will ˹come to˺ know that Allah ˹alone˺ is the Ultimate Truth.

24:26

ﲪEvil womenﲫ(are) for evil menﲬand evil menﲭﲮ(are) for evil womenﲯAnd good womenﲰ(are) for good menﲱand good menﲲﲳ(are) for good womenﲴThoseﲵ(are) innocentﲶof whatﲷﲸthey sayﲹFor themﲺ(is) forgivenessﲻand a provisionﲼnobleﲽ(26)

Wicked women are for wicked men, and wicked men are for wicked women. And virtuous women are for virtuous men, and virtuous men are for virtuous women. The virtuous are innocent of what the wicked say. They will have forgiveness and an honourable provision.1

24:27

ﲾO youﲿwhoﳀbelieveﳁ(Do) notﳂenterﳃhousesﳄother (than)ﳅyour housesﳆuntilﳇyou have asked permissionﳈand you have greetedﳉ[on]ﳊﳋits inhabitantsﳌThatﳍ(is) bestﳎfor youﳏso that you mayﳐpay heedﳑ(27)

O believers! Do not enter any house other than your own until you have asked for permission and greeted its occupants. This is best for you, so perhaps you will be mindful.
